PERSONAL FUN FACT: Oddly, I got these goodies in the 2020 "Avon Avalanche Lot." This group of 24 dolls showcased all collectible Barbies--most from Avon. There were a few outliers though--Cali Girl Barbie, these pieces to My Scene Goes Hollywood Nolee, and some fragments belonging to Rock Angelz Jade. I'm thinking that the play line dolls originated from a different home than the collector ones. That would also explain why Cali Girl was naked, as opposed to all the other Barbies who were still dressed. Nolee was sadly nowhere to be found. I'm assuming she was wearing most of her clothes. But I was lucky enough to find this shirt and wrap in the ziploc baggie we got with the lot, that contained their stands and a few fixings. My favorite accessories are these DVDs. I'm a sucker for doll movies that are actually labeled, and aren't blank. Nolee, as well as the other dolls from her line, came with this little waiting area for the premiere of the movie. I think the idea of this line was super cute and clever. I'm surprised I got so many of these tiny accessories considering some of them were spilled on the ground when we bought the dolls.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: This might seem incredibly random, but I actually recall where and when I acquired both of these items, even though I got them nearly five years apart from one another. This red, fancy coat was actually being worn by my Sleepin' Style Cloe when she purchased at a flea market. Instead of her original blue bathrobe, she was wearing this over her pajamas, and in the place of her slippers, she was donning Wintertime Wonderland Cloe boots. It was an odd getup, which is how I remember it so clearly in my mind, even though that was years ago. I thought this jacket belonged to a My Scene doll right away, and I was excited to conclude it was originally sold with a Nolee. I love the delicate, subtle print on the back of the jacket--it reminds me of upholstery. The furry trim and styling of the jacket is very reminiscent of Funk 'N' Glow Bratz dolls from the early 2000s. These shoes were purchased at a charity store nearly five years later. Colleen and I stopped in one afternoon following my dentist appointment. Since there were so many clothing fragments and Barbie accessories strewn all over the toy room at this store, Colleen and I opted to pick out as much "good stuff" as we could, so it wouldn't get lost and go to waste. I didn't realize there was a full pair of My Scene shoes in one of the containers as I was sifting through it on the hunt for treasure. But I was willing to take home a solo shoe, since My Scene footwear is oh so specific. I was elated to find both of these shoes after all, and the lone sneaker I also took home turned out to have a mate in our missing shoe drawer!

***My doll is wearing 1998 Bath Boutique Barbie's bra, 2004 My Scene Day & Nite Barbie's shorts, and 2002 My Scene "Spring Break" Chelsea's shoes.
PERSONAL FUN FACT: Nolee is probably my favorite My Scene character. Not only do I find her to immensely beautiful, but also my Jammin' in Jamaica doll is my most sentimental My Scene doll in my collection. Growing up, my only Nolee doll was my Jammin' in Jamaica gal. But that certainly didn't mean I wasn't interested in having more. That's why I am so happy to have several Nolee dolls in my collection now that I am an adult. Weirdly, I don't find separately sold My Scene dolls at my local flea market all that often. But they do turn up in lots occasionally, which is where most of my My Scene collection has come from. I got this Miami Getaway Nolee, my Chillin' Out Nolee, and my "1st Edition" Chelsea all from the "60 Doll bin" of 2013. Despite the fact that I had always wanted a "1st Edition" Chelsea, since the My Scene line hit stores back in 2002, I was even more excited about adding not one, but TWO Nolee dolls to my modest My Scene collection. It's hard to say which of the two Nolee dolls I favor from this particular lot. On the one hand, Chillin' Out Nolee is from a line that I am most nostalgic for, considering I had Madison growing up, and also the fact that they remind me of the Bratz Wintertime Wonderland collection. This Nolee doll might be a bit more aesthetically pleasing though. First of all, I adore her sweet pigtails! She even had her original green ribbons in still when I first adopted her! But more than that, I love her dark purple lipstick. I've said this time and time again, but I am such a sucker for dolls with purple and blue lipstick (thanks to Jewel Girl Teresa). She's a bit more unique looking than my Chillin' Out Nolee doll, and she is in slightly better condition. But honestly I love them equally, and I'm so happy to have both in my ever growing collection!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Alas, this is the only piece that I got with my Miami Getaway Nolee doll. Nolee and this bag were both from the "60 Doll bin" of 2013. I remember how disappointed I was that Nolee didn't have any of her clothing items, but it was still pretty sweet that I at least got her beach bag. This bag is fairly well made, and it is quite roomy, which makes it great for play purposes. A pair of oversized My Scene sunglasses could easily fit inside. I could also probably cram a variety of other goodies inside the bag such as a towel, sunscreen, some magazines...really anything that a doll would need to take to the beach! Plus, I really love the light teal color of this bag, paired with the yellow handles.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Nolee is probably my favorite My Scene character, what with her stunning good looks and my deep sentiment for my Jammin' in Jamaica doll. So naturally I was bonkers for I Love My Friends Nolee the moment we first made contact. She was in the "Princess and the Pauper Lot" of 2019, along with 16 other beautiful comrades. Sadly, her bff Chelsea was no longer present. Only Chelsea's boot and purse remained...where she went, we'll never know! I have to admit though, that if I could have only picked one of the pair, it would have been Miss Nolee anyways. I was stoked when I confirmed my suspicions that this was her factory ensemble. Nolee was still donning it in the bin when we were first sorting through the dolls. Albeit, it was hardly recognizable what with the layer of filth. Compared to the other ladies (and gent) from said lot, Nolee was probably in the best shape. Sure, her kanekalon tresses were muffed up a bit, but she was still tolerable to look at. In fact, to the untrained, non-doll collector's eye, she might have looked "new." something about Nolee that I didn't initially notice was her rooted lashes. Back in the day, I was repulsed by 3 dimensional doll eyelashes, unless of course they were on an American Girl. But my Masquerade Madness My Scene Barbie warmed me up to the idea. I think rooted lashes work best, and look the most flattering on dolls with a larger head mold. So Bratz, My Scene, and Disney dolls rock the rooted eyelashes way better than standard Barbies. I mean, I love my vintage beauties with the rooted eyelashes, but they almost cover their entire eyes! I personally think that this feature on Miss Nolee makes her captivating light blue eyes all that much more appealing!

IMPORTANT NOTES: This jacket was also repackaged in the 2004 Fashion Scene Fashions #C6673 pack.
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I love the look of this varsity style jacket! I remember finding this sometime in the early days of my adult doll collection, and being intrigued. It's very nice quality--the velour is super soft, and it has many subtle details, like trim on the collar and waistband. For all I know, my jacket might have been one of the separately sold ones for the Fashion Scene Fashions line...that could account for why I don't have any other pieces. But there are plenty of occasions when I only find one piece to a doll, so this could have been on a Nolee at one point. I have many My Scene jackets in my collection, and admittedly, I find most of them to be a bit tacky. When it comes to displaying or storing the dolls, I don't mind gaudy clothes. But my inner child who used to play with dolls is a lot fussier. This is totally the sort of thing I would have destroyed via play as a kid. I was obsessed with a clone varsity jacket I got with my first Barbies. This one is far less shabby, would fit a female doll much better, and is a more cheerful color. I know I would have used this regularly had I owned it back then. The green would have looked great on a variety of dolls, like my Spot Scene Teresa, aka Sabrina, or my Travel in Style Barbie, aka Heidi!

IMPORTANT NOTES: This jacket was also sold separately as 2004 My Design Scene #H4044.
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I couldn't tell you exactly where this jacket originated from. But I've had it for a long time now, since either 2011 or 2012 (back when I used to have a lot of luck finding My Scene stuff in secondhand lots). Sadly, I don't have anymore pieces to Nolee, with the exception of this jacket. There is the possibility that mine was actually the separately sold version, from the My Design Scene fashion pack line. I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this material has held up over the years. I probably didn't know how to wash it properly back in the day when I acquired it. So it must have survived an improper laundering session from years ago. None of this faux leather material is peeling or flaking, although I'm sure one day it will. It's always a shame when this happens, since the look of the faux leather cannot be recreated once the material flakes off, even if you dye the item to be the correct color.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I want to say that these shoes were from the "Bratz Shoe bin" of 2012, or the "Bratz Guy bin" of 2011. It's not all that uncommon for me to stumble across My Scene and Bratz stuff together. Considering how similar the doll lines are, it's no wonder that little kids liked to have both. While I was always more of a Bratz girl growing up, I did have several My Scene dolls, who I loved dearly. I love how boldly colored these slip on sneakers are. The yellow is so sunny and cheerful, and I love how the purple piping compliments it!

***My doll is wearing 2003 My Scene Chillin' Out Chelsea's jacket/pants and Chillin' Out Madison's boots.
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I've always been rather affectionate towards the My Scene Chillin' Out line. Madison was I believe the second My Scene doll I ever owned. Even though I wasn't as taken with her as I was with Jammin' in Jamaica Nolee or "1st Edition" Madison, I still loved her nonetheless. As an adult collector rediscovering her passion for dolls, this line reminded me so much of my childhood. I can still vaguely recall the first time I laid eyes on them at the local Wal-Mart. I believe I saw this wave of dolls before I knew about the similarly themed Wintertime Wonderland Bratz. So of course it's no surprise that I was eager to adopt other ladies from my beloved childhood Madison's collection. Nolee was the second gal I owned from this set. She was part of an enormous doll lot Colleen and I scored in 2013. To be more specific, Nolee originated from the "60 Doll bin" which we acquired on opening flea market day that year. You guessed it there were about 60 dolls in said lot. There were several My Scene dolls and clothes, much like the "Bratz Guy bin" we bought almost two years before. I could never decide who I liked more, Chillin' Out or Miami Getaway Nolee. Both were from this lot, and they were the character Nolee, who meant something special to me because of my childhood Jammin' in Jamaica doll. I still can't decide who I prefer--this gal is from a more sentimental line, but Miami Getaway is the more unique creature. I did manage to find Nolee's shirt in the bin, but other than that she was pretty scrappy. Regardless, she's quite the beauty--her mauve lipstick is subtle, which makes her wilder teal eye shadow pop extra!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I was a bit bummed out when I deduced that my Chillin' Out Nolee doll only had this t-shirt to call her own. I found both my doll and this shirt in the "60 Doll bin" of 2013. There were close to 60 dolls in said lot, but not nearly that many outfits. Although you'd be surprised how many clothes there were, despite the fact that there weren't enough pieces to fully clothe all the dollies. I was however grateful that this was the lone piece I did manage to find. This t-shirt is just the kind of thing I would have adored using as a kid. It has a very casual, sporty feel to it. My top is not in the best shape as you can see. The decal has seen better days, and it is a bit stained. No worries, I've washed this top several times (right before this photo if I'm not mistaken), and it still looks grubby. I'd love to find Nolee a better shirt and other pieces to her ensemble in the future. But at least this was easy to pair with other things, and I love how the bright blue trim compliments Nolee's makeup!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I really hoped that these pieces belonged to my I Love My Friends Nolee when I found her in the "Princess and the Pauper Lot" of 2019. I had an inkling that these were her factory clothes, but I didn't know which line she was originally from. I thought it was so awesome when I learned she was from a friends themed 2 pack, with Chelsea. Chelsea was not in the bin, only her purse and boot remained (pictured separately of course)! Nolee's outfit was in abysmal condition upon arrival. It was COVERED in pure filth. The white part of her pants was light brown. This was an issue that occurred with virtually all the clothes and dolls from the lot. Granted some made out better than others. For instance, Rock Angelz Cloe looked as though she had syrup on her face, however her only surviving clothes were still in their bubble packing! Nolee's shrug and pants were beastly to clean. Colleen had to soak them both in Oxy Clean for a few rounds. The shrug luckily improved, but the white portion of the pants had not. As you can see, there is a little discoloration on the skirt part. It's not as obvious in person, but the camera is less forgiving. It was simply not acceptable to leave the pants a brown color, so I had to use my last resort...bleach. It was diluted, and I soaked only the white portion. But what I didn't anticipate was that the leggings would act like a sponge, soaking up all the bleach diluted water, and carrying it right up to the attached "denim" skirt. Alas, I should have only spot treated the area instead of soaking, but it's a lesson learned. I'm just grateful Nolee still has her factory garments to wear. I love this layered kind of look especially--it reminds me fondly of my 2010 Bratz!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I want to say that I got this outfit from the "Bratz Shoe bin" of 2012. But the first few years I began collecting dolls as an adult, I had quite a bit of luck finding My Scene stuff in bins. So I can't say for 100% certainty that this ensemble didn't originate from another bin, like say the "Bratz Guy" one, from 2011. Anyways, this simple ensemble compelled me from the get go. This is the sort of thing I would have loved as a kid. I was always the kind of person who liked dressing my dolls in very casual, urban attire. I love the simplicity and versatility of these two pieces. This outfit rarely spent anytime in storage, since I loved it so much. It may not have been as much of a statement piece as say Cruisin' the Boardwalk Jai's ensemble, but this outfit looks fabulous on just about any My Scene doll. I've also used this on non-My Scene Barbies too in the past, because I'm so obsessed with it! Sadly I don't have this Nolee or any of her other things at this time. But these two pieces are my favorite items from this set. I especially adore the subtle details on the halter top. I've never seen anything quite like the woven orange trim on the sides of this top! The little shorts also feel really thick and sturdy--much like Bratz pants from this same era!

The wise and zen, sporty glamour girl of the gang stunned in pretty much every fashion aesthetic, what doll slays in purple makeup?... what doll reigns when paired with red lipstick?, Nolee of course! which leaves me with one question, which Nolee doll do you think is the greatest?

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I want to say these pieces were from the "Fangtastic February Lot." I know that I managed to identify the majority of the garments from said lot right away. But there were a few distinctive pieces that eluded me. I found it very frustrating that I couldn't pinpoint the identity of these pants and top. I figured they went together though, based on the matching shades of green and purple. I was correct, although My Scene hadn't been the first thought that crossed my mind. I was envisioning some sort of early to mid 2000s Barbie fashion pack...perhaps Fashion Fever branded. Although I didn't rule out the possibility of My Scene (the pants in particular reminded me of them). I finally identified them in March of 2025...which was so exciting. This ensemble is so fantastic...I definitely cannot imagine it staying in storage for long. I'm sure some moochie, nude flea market rescue will find herself wearing it.
