Dias atrás anunciei no twitter que fui arrolado como Moleskiner Contribuitor pelo site da Moleskine.com. Dias depois recebi um outro email da equipe da moleskine me informando que para comemorar a marca de 1.000 uploads no site, eles selecionaram 10 trabalhos para virarem "Pockets Templates", que são caixinhas para acondicionar os moleskines. E para minha grata surpresa, o meu MoleskineDaily15 está entre os 10. O mais bacana é que este template está disponivel no site internacional da empresa para qualquer um fazer download e montar o pocket para seu caderninho. É muito gratificante ver o reconhecimento do trabalho e ainda mais quando a própria empresa decide relacionar meu nome com a marca. Segue abaixo o link pra quem quiser montar o pocket.

Days ago I announced at twitter that I was enrolled as Moleskiner Contribuitor in the moleskine.com website. Few days later I received another email from the Moleskine team informing me that, to celebrate the mark of 1,000 uploads to the website, they selected 10 projects to turn into "Pocket Templates" which are boxes to accommodate the Moleskines. And to my pleasant surprise, my MoleskineDaily15 is among the 10. The cooler is that this template is available on the company's international website for anyone to download and mount the pocket for the notebook. It is very rewarding to see recognition of the work and even more when the company decided to relate my name with the brand. Below is the link for those who want to mount the pocket.

Moleskine told in the following thread on their facebook wall "Besides, we've never changed the quality of the paper". But why I could get such a result in a comparison between the 2001 and 2014 paper?

I borrowed this idea from someone else in Flickrland - adding my Moo Cards to my Moleskine ~ I love the collage and it's a sort of traveling gallery of my wares. Easy peasy!
02/25/21: We recently discovered this buzzard while taking a walk and were able to see it up close. (But not as close as the photos at the end suggest - I have a Kleien superzoom camera.) The crows would not let the buzzard rest and chased it away as soon as he sat down in a tree.

25.02.21: Diesen Bussard entdeckten wir kürzlich bei einem Spaziergang und konnten ihn aus nächster Nähe betrachten. (Allerdings nicht so nah, wie die Fotos am Ende vermuten lassen - ich habe eine Kleien Superzoom-Kamera.) Die Krähen ließen dem Mäusebussard keine Ruhe und verscheuchten ihn, sobald er sich niederließ.

On the day before the last, I finally made it to see the My Moleskine Exhibition in Tokyo. (And before I forget, I'd like to say thanks to Moleskinerie for reminding me that the exhibition's closing date was near.)
This exhibition featured the works of eighty-two artists, including those from Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, the U.K., the U.S., and Japan. The artistic disciplines also varied from fashion designers (such as Christian Lacroix), musicians, film actors, visual designers (such as Graham Wood of the British design collective Tomato and his family), photographers, television set designers, jewellery designers, painters, etc.
Among the five locations at which the exhibition took place at the same time from October 1st to the 31st, I was only able to visit the book/CD store called Tsutaya Tokyo Roppongi, which presented the works of seventeen artists, including two from the U.S., six from France, and nine from Japan. I truly regret - especially after seeing the show in Roppongi - that I didn't have time to visit all of the locations.
Most of the artists whose works I saw used the large Moleskine sketchbook but some also used the smaller pocket size; Tadanobu Asano, the Japanese actor known for his wide range of unique and memorable roles, used the Japanese Pocket Album.
My personal choice was the work of Gilbert, a Togo-born artist now residing in France and leader of a graffitti collective called Douze 12, who used an impressive technique that resulted in works that looked like photographs sprayed onto the pages of his Moleskine, and who also created humourous logo-style images rich in colour as well.
Visitors to the exhibition were required to wear a thin rubber glove just like those used by doctors and dentists while leafing through the Moleskine notebooks, which were all kept in transparent plastic boxes with openings just large enough to slide in a hand. The gloves - provided free of charge of course - were packaged and sealed in cardboard envelopes (see photo) and stacked at several places in the exhibition area. An internet joke and advice shared among Moleskine fans in Tokyo who saw the exhibition was that never touch anything in dark colours after you removed the glove, or bring along a wet towel just to be safe - your hand would be covered in white powder used to avoid the rubber sticking together that was hard to remove once smeared on items like black clothing or bags.
