I walked The Clandeboye Way today,from Helen's Bay to The Lead Mines...just entering the mines i came across this old chimney stack...i reached in with one arm...pointing my camera skyward...engaged the flash...walla :-)
Trial and error...and patience was needed to achieve the image i had in mind.....i achieved just that....:-)
I took a walk out this evening to Orlock Point from my home in Bangor...a beautiful coastal walk....to shoot the moon rising...i was not disappointed...it rose behind The Copeland Island :-)
I took advantage of the Alex Von Humboldt II being @ the pier...waiting until sunset to get my image of her.

I started today wanting to learn something new in the world of photography.....so i set up to try capturing a water balloon popping...after many balloons..and a lot of patience i managed to capture it....i will now capture more but in sharper detail..:-)
It was a beautiful evening....@ The Pier....this German tall ship was perfect for images as the sun was setting:-)
I was lucky enough to exhibit my work in The Curve Gallery..Bangor Library as part of The Open House Festival..My Mind's Eye exhibition runs to 28th August....this image i created especially for the festival.
I picked up an old photo taken in Crawfordsburn sometime between 1860 and 1910....i took the same image from the same spot....then blended them together..

I took a walk out and around my local town,shooting images @ Night...this image is of my local Pier.
I took a walk up to Carnalea Station to shoot images of the steam train Merlin...she did not disappoint, i heard a toot toot on her whistle then she came thundering through at a fair pace.....awesome.
The houses to the right have long since been demolished...making way for a rather boring painted circle..needed i'm sure.

I walked on round the coast to a little bay as the sun was setting.....managed to catch this with the camera as near ground level...:-)
I love to walk on the Sabbath, for all is so peaceful, the noise and labor of everyday life has ceased.

I took a walk out to see Bangor's annual fireworks display that signals the Christmas lights switch on.
I went along as normal to shoot the setting sun....this time however in front of me was something i had yet to see....it was simply breath taking....:-)
A RAF Puma was visiting Bangor today as part of Armed Forces Day and also Sea Bangor...i wanted to capture it not only static but also in flight.
It's all about details, our state of mind and how we see and experience everything.
Old places and weathered things are great for that. Shaped by time, showing history in a unique way. And sometimes these shapes are so funny...see for yourself.
Maybe only my mind sees some kind of an erotic scene. 😁🙊🙈
