Found this cool tutorial on MyFroggyStuff where she built sliding windows in her dorm room. Took quite a bit of time to get it just right and voila my apartments now have sliding windows that actually work. In the picture the top pane is slid all the way down so breeze is flowing in from the the top for each window.

So as part of my dolls of Sailor Moon project, I originally customized Barbie Fashionista DYY99 (because I happened to have her, and her hair's blue!) from many years back to be Ami. But she wasn't especially Ami-ish. Then I saw this Licca Castle Kisara on Ebay with her short blue hair and had to have her as Ami. I love her (that sideglance!!) but I do have mixed feelings about the Jenny doll body.
Does she have any reason to be reading Shakespeare? Not especially, but of all of the 1/6 scale books I've collected and made, something by Shakespeare seemed "smartest", lol. Printable from MyFroggyStuff. Outfit by SashaDollWardrobe on Etsy (www.etsy.com/shop/SashaDollWardrobe). Glasses by Integrity Toys. Shoes, ring, and earrings are original to the doll.

The branches were all cut from trees in our own garden, well dried (not intended - it just happened cuz it took me so long to start this project *lol) and drybrushed in white.
The whole scenery was built into a cardboard box and the front can be put up for easier storage.

So I finally finished my Harry Potter Diorama. For the background, I used a trifold foam board, a picture of old stones, a picture of the lake filming location photo shopped behind gothic windows, and two Lady and the unicorn tapestries seen in the film. The fireplace, arm chair, couch, and candles came from or were based off of Myfroggystuff tutorials (www.youtube.com/user/MyFroggyStuff). for the rest of the furniture, I made the chairs, desk, bookcase, and fireplace screen. I also made 6 bertie botts every flavored beans (The beans are made from clay which I painted) and 6 chocolate frogs. The actual frogs I bought from michaels, and painted brown, but I also put together the boxes and cards from tamplates I found online (dumbledor, slytherin, gryffindor, hufflepuff, ravenclaw, and a blank one when dumbledor leaves). I also found hogwarts textbook templates and printed them out to doll size and made them into books. Additionally, I painted Hedwig. The owl I bought was covered in the black marks, so I went over most or modified them.
