The living room, to the left is the coat closet and front door, the stairs, and to the right is the entrance to the dining room. Beautiful wood floors under the area rug.

Willemstraat 74 - Den Haag

in this house I spent my first 2,5 years.

it's a house with 3 floors and 50 years ago it was occupied by 3 families.....

now it is a home for just one :-)

The Kitchen. I can picture Gabby and I spending lots of time here cooking meals and our favorite thing... making breakfast.

Not too big on the blue, but we'll see what happens.

It looks like they might have been feeding them on the stairs. All cleaned and washed and no more p-smell. I havent decided what im going to do with the stairs.... carpet is the easiest or maybe solid wood?

Yay I got the condo! I will be moving in around July 10th. This was a foreclosure 1 bedroom loft style condo. Woman who owned it before purchased it for over $90000 2 years ago. I got it for $43,000! Its the perfect size for me, no more roommates and cheaper than paying rent.

This is the house I came home to after I was born

This will be Gabby's bedroom.

New cupboards in boys room

The living room and front door leading to the front porch.

The dining room. I love the color of the walls and umm... the wood floors!

The current home owners have agreed to leave these basically NEW washer and dryer!

Cabinets, countertops and black appliances that I selected

The master bedroom... consider yourself lucky if you get to see the inside of this room. ;)

Spice cabinet built into the kitchen. Good place to keep the coffee, tea, and of course spices. This will be Gabby's part of the kitchen since she likes to cook so much.

The back yard. To the right is a small concrete patio and to the left is an entrance to the basement.

The front door and coat closet. Did I mention the beautiful wood floors?

I may have to pull up the old plywood and put down new. It creaks and is a little warped.

Looking down the steps to the front door. I LOVE these wood floors!

New front steps and porch 1996?

with the "fancy" elevation, costing $2k more... not worth it.

Detail of the ceiling in the dining room.

view from the door

Kitchen - handmade cabinents, slate floors, and awesome cement countertops all done by the previous owner...thanks for your work, Kelly's!!

My first gift from my Crate and Barrel registry!

two big rooms that open into each other

Ok, it's been a month since I've moved into my first home (condo) and I am finally getting around to posting some pictures. These of course are "before" shots so you can see all the icky flat green paint that my mom and I spent a couple of LOOOOOONG days covering up but it was oh so worth it! This place is a downsize from my rentals but I don't mind as it's mine all mine and that is something I never thought would be possible in Portlands crazy housing market!!!

Post flat green paint pictures will be coming soon...just got a few more boxes to take to Goodwill then the place will be picture perfect :)
