I've studied world religions for many years, but I don't think you have to be a religious scholar to recognize the spirit of this buddah. The over flowing vessel of the fountain says it all...abundance and fertility. It's easy to think about what we lack; it's more difficult to consciously comtemplate what we have when we are bombarded by negative images and stories. The whole 95% bad, 5% good scenario of the daily news, bugs me! I know that there is so much tragedy, but there is more abundance and good news. We just don't hear as much about it. I acknowledge the abundance in my life, and I am grateful for it! Hugs and thanks for viewing! =o)

Well, it does!

I have far more ideas than there are hours in the day to realize them. This isn't cause for complaint, it's something to cheerfully celebrate. Here's to wells that never run dry!

Although these Digidoodles are often inspired by new external influences, I'm also developing ideas and themes already laid down in previous pictures. I know I had in mind this other one when I started sketching "My Cup..."

Thank you for your interest in my artwork. I have been selling online for nearly 10 years and I absolutely love it! It has allowed me to sell my original paintings and prints to thousands of collectors worldwide. I have a Masters degree in Fine Art from The University of Tampa, but consider myself self-taught. True talent is revealed not through schooling but through painting.

I collected some of my best Tufted Titmouse shots and some brief videos showing them singing and feeding around the feeder and in the cherry tree. I recorded this version of My Cup Runneth Over on My Yamaha keyboard. I used Coverter-lite to extract the audio and pasted it to the movie which I made using Microsoft Movie Maker. On the brief shaky video you can hear the titmouse. The second video shows the titmouse flying down to the feeder. Because the titmouse has a beak more like a woodpecker, they can not crack open the sunflower seeds with their jaw so they must peck them open. The final video shows a titmouse holding a seed with its claws and pecking the seed open. I used a monopod to steady the image on the second two videos.

July 18, 2020 - My Cup runneth over! My Nalgene overflowed Joshua Tree National Park in California.

...was chopping and freezing. Time to empty the veggie drawers of all their bell and sweet peppers! Half of them were ours, half were from the farmshare, and I ended up with two batches' worth of bell peppers for chili and seven little pasta-sauce-sized packets of these sweet fryers. It's going to be an easy-peasy winter!

Why yes, I'd like some cocoa with my whipped cream. Working on pictures from the three shoots I did at the end of last week, so I grabbed some hot chocolate. But then, is there ever a bad time for cocoa?

'My Cup Runneth Over' reads the inscription on this drinking fountain in Military Park presented to the City of Newark in 1928 by Moses Plaut.

Must be Aimes/ Ames night! Ed Ames made this song famous back in 1967. The water lily was photographed in Aimes Park. Seemed to fit.

Cups - this Monday Challenge

I looked for something to make my cups interesting. A bigger challenge than I thought. I had 3 possibilities and would love to know what you think.
