This is Grayson and quite often, while I am eating breakfast, he will get on the table and sit in front of me with his head in the crook of this ceramic turtle's neck, like this and stare at me the entire time i'm eating. He usually has this intense maniacal look in his eyes, as though he is starving. He wants me to think I am depriving him, even though he has already had a big breakfast. Plus the fact that he is a large and very healthy cat. I give him a tidbit every now and then. But, he never thinks it's enough. He is a great actor !!

A healthy breakfast that reads like dessert is a great way to start the day. The smoothie base is banana, plain greek yogurt, frozen peaches, blueberries and strawberries and some chia seeds. Top it with a little more chia seed, pumpkin seeds, and frozen blackberries. Enjoy!

For the past several days I have been in craft/creative mode. I purchased some second-hand baking sheets and have been destroying them trying to get baked on texture, burned on stains, etc. I am using both sheets in this image. Also, I found a bunch of old wool sweaters and have been shrinking them for some other projects. Can it really be described as crafting if I am destroying things? Either way, the process is intensely satisfying.

Today is our anniversary. It’s been an amazing journey we have been on and wouldn’t trade it for anything. 28 years ago we were laying around the pool in Reno Nevada visiting her parents. We had reservations for a lakeside wedding with just the four of us at Lake Tahoe, California side about an hour away from Reno. It was an experience never to forget.
