The Danish State Railways (DSB) Litra MX locomotives were built on license from General Motors by Nydquist & Holm AB - Bofors-Nohab in Trollhättan, Sweden.
45 were built from 1960-1962.
The Litra MX locomotives were very similar to their big brother Litra MY but had a smaller engine and lower weight with less pressure on the tracks making them popular on smaller railroads.
Quite a few are still used today by private railway companies either domestic or abroad.
One locomotive is on display at a railway museum in the city of Stuer, Denmark.
Two Litra MX locomotives (1001 and 1024) were used from 1982 to 1993 to pull the famous "kultoget" transporting coal and liquid fuel from Vestkraft in the costal city of Esbjerg to Herningværket power plant in the inland city of Herning.

It has been sent for a CLA, I hope it will return soon.
Flash to upper camera left about maybe about 1 stop above ambient, golden reflector to camera right for fill light. Now that I think about it, it would have been probably better with a separation light, like a snooted flash from behind.
