New Mutt seen in Romsey Square. Typical Chinese 125 with an engine based on an old Suzuki design, style input from the UK based importer.
Inspired by the Great Escape film, Captain Virgil Hilts being played by Steve McQueen.
To me this looks odd with the gap between engine and exhaust pipe. Maybe this is filled on the 250cc version.
The front brake looks impressive.
Some of you may have noticed I've not been posting much in the past month. It's because I've been teaching myself 3D graphics and sculpting. Two weeks reading everything under the sun on it and watching videos. I then decided to learn by making a 3D version of an old cartoon character of mine. (Please see earlier post)

We're in trouble. They said don't touch the red button, but curiosity got the better of me. When, oh when will I learn self-control?! And now, we have a problem. An epidemic, actually. Every time I turn around there's another one. I'm not sure, but I think there's a lesson to be learned here. Maybe... don't play with technology you don't understand? That could be it.
They're actually well-behaved, as far as that goes. So... anybody want a not-quite-one-of-a-kind mutt? One of them is ten years old - I think. But then, it's hard to say... either ten years or ten hours old. They are great dogs. They should be! Their, um... mom (or whatever) is a great dog. One of the best. I just hope she's still here when the dust settles. Oh, boy...

My second attempt at HDR
I did the first sketch for this a couple days ago, and was convinced that it would never work out. I kept fiddling with it anyway, because you often learn things when you find out why something doesn't work; but the more I played with it, the better it looked, and eventually I had something worth refolding! Funny how these things work out sometimes.
This was folded from a sheet of printer paper pasted to the business page of the New York Times, which is a wonderful newspaper, and then cut to square. Recently I've been using a lot of really simple boxpleated bases as the structural starting point for more complex symmetries, and it seems to be working pretty well. This has the benefit of making models much easier to sequence and diagram.
