Es gibt in etwa 20 verschiedene Arten von Stummelfüsschen die optisch kaum voneinander zu unterscheiden sind. Ich versuche es also gar nicht. Sind auch so Pilze die man schon x-mal fotografiert hat und doch immer wieder denkt, man hätte noch eine schönere Gruppe gefunden.

Apparently today was National Mushroom Day — and I didn’t even find out until 8pm, long after work and meetings were done. So here’s my belated celebration!
I took this photo late in the day on my property, just as the forest was getting dark. The natural light was fading fast, so I used three light cubes to bring out the soft glow and color of this tiny mushroom. It’s a 21-image focus stack to capture all the fine details and textures that get lost in the shadows.

The mushroom season in Saint-Petersburg's suburbs is in full swing at the moment. My husband is a passionate mushroom picker :) He's aware of the most of edible mushrooms in our area.
As for me, I love wandering in the deep woods with my camera all day long (picking mushrooms from time to time). And both of us love mushrooms direct from the plate! :) So, we always look forward to Autumn.
Of course, picking mushrooms should always be done with care and caution. As it is said, a mushroom picker (as a sapper) makes only one mistake.

Here it is — Amanita Muscaria, the iconic fairytale mushroom itself. 🍄
I’m beyond excited to have found it growing right here on my own land — and not just one, but a few popping up nearby! This has been my absolute bucket-list find since falling head over heels into mushroom photography, and to stumble upon it within the first year feels like magic.
Captured just after sunrise on my morning walk, this little forest gem glowed under the soft light filtering through the trees. I could have stayed there all day, whispering sweet nothings to it in pure mushroom-lover bliss. ✨

M’estic aficionant a fer fotos a bolets, i aquesta Ă©s una de les primeres fotos que vaig fer i estic molt content amb ella. Del que es veu aquĂ amb la realitat Ă©s bastant diferent, vaig posar una història al seu dia de com feia la foto i com quedava aixĂ, l’efecte del desenfocament Ă©s molt gran en aquesta imatge i fa que tant les fulles per davant o per darrere del bolet fa veure aquestes lĂnies i ratlles de colors.

Three delicate mushrooms glowing softly in the evening light on my property in Winlock, WA. It was nearly dark when I found them, so I used two small light cubes to mimic the warmth of late sunshine filtering through the forest. Captured with my Nikon Z6II and Nikkor Z 105mm f/2.8 Macro. This image is a stacked composite blended in Helicon Focus for depth, then refined in Lightroom and Photoshop to bring out the dreamy bokeh and fine texture of the gills.
A quiet reminder that even the smallest things in the woods can light up the day. 🌿🍄✨
I’ve been visiting this little mushroom every day this week, watching it push its way through the forest floor and open up fully. It’s funny how attached I get — seeing it grow, change, and now realizing we’re nearing the end of our journey together.
At one point I came home from work at 5:15. The clock was ticking on the available light. My boyfriend came out of the shop to talk to me and welcome me home from work and my response was, "I CAN'T TALK RIGHT NOW! I HAVE TO GO SEE MY MUSHROOM."
