Hypholoma fasciculare, commonly known as the sulphur tuft, sulfur tuft or clustered woodlover, is a common woodland mushroom, often in evidence when hardly any other mushrooms are to be found. This saprophagic small gill fungus grows prolifically in large clumps on stumps, dead roots or rotting trunks of broadleaved trees.
The "Sulphur Tuft" is bitter and poisonous; consuming it can cause vomiting, diarrhea and convulsions. The principal toxic constituents have been named fasciculol E and fasciculol F

De zwavelzwam (Laetiporus sulphureus) is een zwam uit de familie Fomitopsidaceae. Het is een parasitaire zwam die onder andere op eiken groeit. Het is een heldergele tot baksteenrode zwam, die met name oude eikenbomen aanvalt in de zomer en vroege herfst. De zwam groeit echter ook op ander loofhout, en op eucalyptusbomen.

Vliegenzwammen in een zijpad waar de hei overging in bos. Ik zat op de fiets ( ja,alweer) en zag (echt waar) iets roods in mijn ooghoek, we fietste even een stukkie terug en ja hoor daar stonden ze beide te pronken. Fly agaric
The name porcelain mushroom is revealing. The hat is smooth and slimy, making it shine like porcelain. The often completely white mushroom is a striking appearance in the beech forest. It is a fairly large mushroom with a translucent cap up to 10 cm wide.

De naam porseleinzwam is veelzeggend. De hoed is glad en slijmerig waardoor deze glimt als porselein. Het vaak geheel witte paddenstoel is een opvallende verschijning in het beukenbos. Het is een vrij grote paddenstoel met een doorschijnende hoed tot wel 10cm breed.
