Early on the first morning of the year 1880 the young lady house keeper of Belmomt Farm, near the village of Blanchland - the right most ruin in the image above - found blood on the floor of the cow byre at the left end of the house. In the loft she found the lifeless body of the infirm farmers eldest son. He had been killed by a blow from a hammer which lay close by. The local constable and doctor arrived later in the and the county authorities some days later, by which time loft had been scrubbed clean by the infirm farmer.
The house keeper was tried for and acquitted of murder.
In the 1881 census the house keeper was recorded as working in a town some 30 miles away. A younger son was working the farm and the still infirm owner had taken on another young woman as house keeper.
No one ever went to the gallows for the murder of Robert Snowball.
Adventures in Backyard Birding: The crows crashed my backyard bird count today but I couldn't pass up this awesome snow shot with a harsh edit. #GBBC

Yesterday, I attended a protest in Chicago because of the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict. Rittenhouse murdered two protestors at a Black Lives Matter rally in Wisconsin last summer with an assault rifle he was too young to even own and claimed as a white entitled piece of crap that he was "in fear of his life." The judge and jury sided with him.
I attended 15 Black Lives Matter rallies just a state away in Chicago, Illinois in that summer and none of them were violent. In fact, most of the footage I've seen of people "looting" at different protests in my country has been white opportunists who took advantage of the protests.
Here, we have two sides of the story of America. In Washington, Trump made sure Black Lives Matters protestors were tear gassed just before proselytizing with his upside down Bible. (It's ok, Trump-we know you don't really care what a Black Jesus had to tell people, anyway). In some states in this country, it is actually legal to hit protestors with your car...just make sure they aren't protesting against wearing masks, getting vaccinated, actually counting votes, or against a woman's right to choose things for her body. The police seem to love protecting those people. (Several of our police unions also don't feel the police should have to get vaccinated themselves)
So, we have an America where you can murder a protestor and, just like the cops do, say you were "afraid for your life" to get out of taking any kind of responsibility. Meanwhile, the GOP caused treason, were planning to murder congress people in the January insurrection, tried to intimidate people counting votes to the point of planting fake votes and even planning bombs to go off in key states (Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona), and let's not forget how they shouted death threats in Tennessee at pediatricians recommending kids wear masks in school to stay safe. That apparently is just fine, though. Everything is fine...nothing to see here. Just an entire system built on doing whatever it takes to suppress people of color, the differently abled, and women and getting away with it.
Meanwhile, we have a "Democrat" who is, as I thought he might end up being when I voted for Bernie to be the candidate instead, just Trump lite-going along with the status quo. He's a few less calories as Trump but perhaps just as deadly to those who aren't in power. Biden's statement about trusting the justice system is laughable. There's a reason why Biden was elected and it wasn't white people. We all need to come up with candidates that are truly progressive and break these racist systems down.

Described in 2017 by the National Geographic as the coolest place on the planet, its not difficult to see why. No roads lead here which adds to the adventure. A beautiful hidden gem on the Donegal Coast.
Statue at the German WWI war cemetery in Langemark, Belgium.
Commonly referred to as the place of the 'Child murder', since thousands of German boys without any war experience attacked hand in hand the British Guard soldiers, who were all experienced sharp shooters.

in the studio!!! we were on a creepy kick i guess... but i love it. (: if you can't see it, there is a knife shadowed above her head (: this is one of my teachers, rebecca.
Decided to get out to the coast today despite the weather, to check out the ominously titled Murder Hole Bay at Rosguill in Donegal. I couldn't find the bay the last time but this time a helpful farmer pointed us in the right direction. This is one of the most secluded bays in Donegal and it doesn't dissapoint, it has two beaches that link when the tide is out and a large cave along the cliffs behind the beach. Ten foot waves coming in off the Atlantic only served up more drama!
Where would we be without a simple thing like a pen? - The first people to invent the pen as a basic tool to write were the ancient Egyptians. - On May 25, 1827, Romanian inventor Petrache Poenaru received patent from the French government for a fountain pen which had a barrel made from a large swan quill. In America in 1848, Azel Storrs Lyman got a patent for a fountain pen with “method of supplying ink to pens from a reservoir in the handle.

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin is a vast field of 2,711 concrete slabs arranged in a grid pattern. It is designed to evoke a sense of disorientation and unease, reflecting the experience of the Holocaust victims. The memorial serves as a powerful reminder of the atrocities committed during World War II and honours the memory of the six million Jews who were killed.

In case anyone is reading this. A group of crows is called a "murder". All the black lines you see in the sky are the crows.

Part 1: "It had been a fun night out for her and Tessa. Tessa had been drinking a lot, but as Angel was the designated driver, she didn't drink any alcohol. It was 2 AM when they headed home. The road was dark and quiet....the radio was loud and Tessa was singing even louder. All of a sudden she said "Angel, there is a restroom....I reaaaaally have to pee. Can we please stop?" Angel felt uneasy in the darkness and the only light was the dimmed one in the restroom, but as Tessa was pleading and pleading she decided to stop. Tessa ran into the restroom as Angel waited in the car outside....After 5 minutes she didn't have any patience left and got out of the car and walked into the restroom....everything was dead quiet inside and there was hardly any light. "Tessa?" she said as she felt the hairs in her neck go up....something was wrong here....She slowly walked further and she hit something with her foot, stumbled and almost fell. As she looked down, she felt nothing but horror....she looked into the dead eyes of her best friend who was lying in a pool of blood. Angel tried to scream but no sound came out of her mouth. Suddenly she heard a noise and she turned around quickly, looking into the dark empty eyes of a stranger with an evil smirk on his face...."well well, I'm lucky tonight....2 for the price of 1"....Angel walked backwards till she felt the dirty, greasy wall....and in terror she went down as her knees could no longer carry her. She looked up to the stranger and then she saw the bloody knife in his hand...she almost whispered "no...please...don't" as he approached her like she was his prey......"
