Ivory Lane near the Story Bridge in Brisbane is Rather steep dead end street running from the cycleway along the river and up a steep hill where it ends just before the Fortitude Valley entrance to the bridge.
satrxx and beafest have produced a long and rather mystical mural along the wall on the side of the street.
Portland, OR is a weird & wonderful city - you never know what you will find around the corner. On this day we spotted the wonderful mural that brightened up a building as well as the street around it. My husband knows me well and parked the car so I could get a few photos.

We've had b&w kinds of days, so that's the mode I shot in when I revisited this riverfront mural. It's a large and very unusual art piece.

An experiment with Lith E instead of Lith D. The deep shadows become blacker, the contrast increases enormously. However, Lith E reduces the colourfulness, which was not desired for this image. So a second developer is necessary to increase the colourfulness and to bring out the tonal values of the highlights.

I spent this past week in Toronto Ontario, exploring this busy city and all of interesting art and attractions. One of the first buildings I found was the famous Gooderham Flatiron building on Front Street. The building itself is interesting to see, but the main attraction is the mural on the back of the building, by artist Derek Michael Besant. The mural is completely flat, but it looks like it is three dimensional as it appears to be peeling off the wall of the building.
