There were some nice murals in Pincher Creek - this was one of them. I liked it even better when the school bus passed (see my next photo).
This mural is called "Downtown in the 40s and 50s" and the artist is Penny Corradine, an Alberta artist.
Artist ElleStreetArt's mural continues along this semi-circular wall. In total she painted 2,900 square feet. That's big and beautiful. At Hudson Yards

Wednesday we parked across the street from our farmers' market. When I glanced in the alley, I discovered a mural I hadn't seen before. Love the murals that are adding to urban ambiance!

Author of the world’s longest tag that wound its way all over Manhattan unbeknownst to New Yorkers, MOMO grapher creates new urban maps based on infinitesimal interventions or monumental frescoes. Here in Mons, he has created a fresco in zebra-coloured flat hues.

A close examination of this colourful mural will give its general location away.....note a number of Tasmanian Devils and the extinct Tasmanian Tigers. Another one of the archive shots I dug up from our brief 2013* trip in the rural Tasmanian town of Sheffield. This town had many fine murals and ten years ago was probably the best in Australia and our first real exposure to this form of artwork. Happy weekend everyone, I am way behind and will catch up with your kind comments from the last few days over the weekend. It's supposed to rain heavily in Brisbane (and be cooler) but I fear the much needed downpour may be a fizzer.
* The world is such a different place now compared to 2013, we might as well be on another planet. Sadly, many humans seem to actually be on another planet!
Downtown Binghamton got some new color recently. Saw it on the news so went downtown to get a closer look. International artist Danae Brissonnet www.danaebrissonnet.com/ spent last month in a 65 foot lift transforming an empty brick wall into a mural that reflects her colorful and whimisical art style.
