Tea gardens of Munnar!!

Munnar, a picturesque hill station in the Western Ghats of Kerala, India, is renowned for its lush tea gardens. The region's undulating hills are adorned with vast expanses of tea plantations, creating a mesmerizing sight that attracts tourists from all over the world.

Munnar is a hill station (altitude around 5200 feet) established by the British in the Western Ghat mountain ranges in Idduki district of Kerala in South India.It is a very picturesque place surrounded by rolling hills with extensive tea plantations established in the late 19th century.There are also a number of beautiful waterfalls.The tallest peak in Munnar is the Anamudi peak standing tall at 2695 mts.(approx.8841 feet).We spent a couple of nights here on our recent road trip to Kerala and fell in love with the place.:-)

Munnar is a town and hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level, in the Western Ghats mountain range. Munnar is also called the "Kashmir of South India"

This adult eagle was spotted near Leaf resort, Munnar in the late morning. The same tree also hosted a jungle owlet.
