Was taking some photos from our basement window the other day and caught this male Northern Cardinal at this feeder containing a mix of sunflower seeds, sunflower chips, shelled peanuts and safflower seed. The birds love it, but it can get a little messy with all those sunflower seed hulls.
Grabbing shots from the basement provides a different point of view. And from the looks I was getting from this Cardinal, he was keeping a very close eye on me, probably wondering, "Whatcha doin' down there?"
I had to laugh because every shot I took of this Cardinal, he had a beak full of those seeds, munching away like crazy.

Das Denkmal wurde von König Ludwig I. in Auftrag gegeben und von Max von Widnmann entworfen. Dieser verwendete als Vorlage für den Kopf die Schiller-Büste von Johann Heinrich von Dannecker. Gegossen wurde das Standbild von Ferdinand von Miller. Am 9. Mai 1863 wurde das Denkmal am Maximiliansplatz aufgestellt und enthüllt. 1959 wurde der Standort etwas verändert, aber blieb weiterhin am Maximiliansplatz.

The statue was cast by Ferdinand von Miller. On 9 May 1863, the monument was erected and unveiled on Maximiliansplatz. In 1959, its location was changed slightly, but it remained on Maximiliansplatz.
