Happy Sunday Morning Flickr Friends. Just wanted to share with you an image I shot of Moultnomah Falls this past Fall. Taken early in the morning as the rain was coming down and waterflow as moving fast. Mist from the falls was creating this nice soft dreamy feel. The colors were the best I have ever seen and I was lucky to get there before the masses showed up. Enjoy
the people around me succeed more than I :-)

a small portion of the Multnomah waterfall, Columbia river gorge, oregon
Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The falls drops in two major steps, split into an upper falls of 542 feet (165 m) and a lower falls of 69 feet (21 m), with a gradual 9 foot (3 m) drop in elevation between the two, so the total height of the waterfall is conventionally given as 620 feet (189 m). Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon. It is credited by a sign at the site of the falls, and by the United States Forest Service, as the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States
All my recent photos are of snow, snow, snow, so I thought I would post a warmer shot of Oregon. I know this is a cliché shot, but this was the first time I had seen this and was impressed. I was expecting the whole area to be burned trees and bare ground, but it is still as pretty as it was before the fire.
I spent a few days up in Oregon and Washington last weekend. I was last there in 2012 to shoot fall colors but wanted to see what summer was like. When I shot this waterfall there were about 100 tourists buzzing around. I shot about 10 images in two minutes and got the hell out of there ;)
