The National Electric Fly-In was held June 21-23, 2013 at the International Aeromodeling Center. Ninety registered pilots enjoyed three days of electric airplane, helicopter, and multirotor flying, as well as Combat and Pylon Races and more than $1500 worth of raffle prizes. Proceeds from NEFI benefit the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), National Model Aviation Museum, and the Scott Davis Memorial Fund.

We found these old cars rusting under a tree in one of the paddocks of the property we stayed on (called Currawong). What a photogenic spot. Of course, we had to stop and fly/film. The result is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EdDGJb2a7M

A little step-by-step build of my first multirotor camera platform.
Based on the Hoverthings FTV frame, this setup will allow me to learn to fly FPV as well as build a reliable set of electronics and shoot HD fight footage. Once i'm satisfied, i'll either add my Leica to this frame, or, more likely, build an uprated quad for the purpose.
Step 1: Open the frame pack. Contents include 4 front leg struts, 4 rear leg struts, 4 motor mounting plates, 2 body plates and a top plate. There is also a bunch of screws and aluminium spacers.
