Again this is for my photography mock, which I still havent finished. I failed for my second week of my 52 week project, because I shot and edited this ages ago. Ashamed.
Also the quality of this isnt very good, as my camera has gone really weird and pixelated. Sad times so in the mean time I will be "borrowing" my sisters canon 500d camera :)
The ultimate “threat multiplier,” climate change is increasing the challenges facing the U.S. development, diplomatic, and security communities. “A New Climate for Peace: Taking Action on Climate and Fragility Risks,” an independent report commissioned by the members of the G7, identifies seven compound climate-fragility risks that pose serious threats to stability in the decades ahead. Based on a thorough assessment of existing policies, the report recommends that the G7 take concrete actions to tackle climate-fragility risks and increase the resilience of states and societies.
Join leaders from the development, diplomatic, and security communities and the report’s coauthors for the U.S. launch of a “New Climate for Peace.” The high-level interagency panel will explore how these climate-fragility challenges are changing the way the United States and its partners work, and will also identify opportunities for joint action to address them.

GAVIÃO CARIJÓ (Rupornis magnirostris)
Mede 36 cm. Asas compridas e largas de "pontas abertas" tal como nos urubus, cauda curta, conjunto apropriado para planar em espaços abertos. Os sexos quase sempre se assemelham quanto ao colorido. Macho e fêmea distinguem-se geralmente pelo tamanho, sendo a fêmea maior.
Aparecem até em áreas campestres desprovidas de qualquer arborização.
Ocorrem do México à Argentina e em todo o Brasil.
Voa no aberto, aos casais, batendo rapidamente as asas e descrevendo círculos chamando a atenção pela característica gritaria que produzem.
Caça grandes insetos, lagartixas, pequenas cobras e pássaros tais como rolas e pardais; apanha morcegos em seus pousos diurnos.
As fêmeas apresentam os dois ovários desenvolvidos em vez de apenas o esquerdo como nas outras aves.
Os ovos são geralmente manchados, de cor muito variável, até dentro de uma mesma postura.
Durante o acaalamento emitem seus gritos, semelhantes em várias espécies, o gavião-carijó vocaliza durante todo o ano.
Voz: "wiiä" (corresponde ao canto), "ät-ät-gi, gi, gi, gi, gi"
