I'm a very guarded person... and I generally keep people at arms length. I feel that there are times when I let shades of my true self show, but all too often the person that most people see and talk to doesn't feel genuine.

But this is about more than just that.... I feel like I'm trying to change so much about myself and my life lately that it's hard to reconcile who I was and who I am now with who I am striving to become.

Some days I just feel torn and confused. Thus the title.. Cognitive Dissonance.
