The Course of Empire is a five-part series of paintings created by Thomas Cole in the years 1833–36. It is notable in part for reflecting popular American sentiments of the times, when many saw pastoralism as the ideal phase of human civilization, fearing that empire would lead to gluttony and inevitable decay.
This is the first in a new series of multiple exposure images inspired by Thomas Cole's Course of Empire.
Found an old film ca. 2010 and scanned a few frames using my Epson V700 with Silverfast SE software. The resulting 7.6 MP images aren't much different from cheap 6 MP lab scans.

Back in France last Summer and one of my projects involving multiple exposure using the zoom capabilities of this old lens.
The Younger does laps of the garden as the sun sets on his eighth year, as seen in Pembrokeshire.
Hand-held. AF. Double exposure.

this was actually totally botched - forgot about two other exposures i had brewing in camera. not what i was expecting but i'm surprisingly pleased
