Multiple exposure in Birmingham

Submitted caption: A 3D MDCK cell lumenoid grown on a reconstituted basement membrane that developed multiple lumens during it's morphogenesis. Immunofluorescent staining of actin highlights the lumens, forming the eyes and smile, while cytoplasmically distributed paxillin stains the background, creating the face. The 'hat' is composed of basement membrane-derived laminin and DAPI marks the nuclei of these cells. These images were captured using confocal microscopy, bringing the lumenoid’s playful features to life!

Folsom Field is primarily thought of as a football venue, but curiously tucked away in its many corners are things like the Department of Aerospace Studies and various military/ROTC program offices.
