Petrol sales ended here quite some time ago but the earlier Streetview shots show this was still a garage selling Isuzu cars under the Ian Studley name. More recently however the site has been fenced off and only two large motorhomes occupy the premises. One wonders if time will finally be called on it and demolition for new housing beckons. It would be very sad if that was the case. Here we see a vairety of brands of petrol being sold - it would soon change to being a solus Regent site - see below.

Piles of old standardized tests fill a corridor in an abandoned school in Daejeon, South Korea. I hope the students did well.

Home to several thousand Native Americans between 1000 A.D. to 1550 A.D., this 54-acre site contains six earthen mounds, a plaza, village area, borrow pits and defensive ditch. This is the most intact Mississippian Culture site in the Southeastern United States.

For a long time I've been an admirer of chrisfriel's multiple long exposure work. I've just started exploring this. No doubt I'll look back on this as very raw - it's straight from the camera, and hardly refined technique or vision. Still, I'm having fun.

I've been playing this afternoon with in camera multiple exposure for a theme in one of my groups. I'd not wanted to get started feeling so rough but actually its been wonderful medicine. This one didn't quite come out the way I intended but its 3 shots of the wood behind us, an old shed and some daffodils. I still like the effects and think it may well end up on my desktop at work for a while.
This garage was so well known and so large that it gave its name to the part of the North Circular where it resided - Henly's Corner. You can read about the Henly's group on Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henlys_Group Further reading here too about Henly's Corner www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Henlys_Corner There is an Esso garage almost where Henlys was in the present day but it's the wrong side of the road

It's also just too far away from the junction. Not a trace remains of this garage in the present day. It was here.......
