At Nottingham’s 21st Annual Multicultural Festival, students enjoyed food, singing, dancing, face painting, and even African jewelry for sale! More than a dozen nations were represented.
About 200 people attended our Mulitcultural Kickoff, where they heard from United Way supported Cornerstone Center for Early Learning on how important United Way is to helping children at their agency. Attendees were also treated to cultural dances and great food. Hosted at Monsanto's Research facility.
Students shared opportunities to get involved and take on leadership roles at the Student Activities Fair September 2 at William Woods in Fulton.

The first multicultural city that I knew was Amsterdam, almost 20 years ago. It was a very teaching experience coming from Spain, then a very much secondary country in Europe. Under a vision to transform Seven Corners, the Willston Multicultural Center is planned to be redeveloped for educational, government, cultural or human services. While more detailed planning will be needed, the county and public schools have agreed that they have a mutual interest in locating a school on the site, co-located with other community services. These may include nonprofits, a multicultural center or other public uses.
