PROJECT MULAFOCO (PM) is aimed at the promotion and dissemination of all media and forms of photography within a global context.
Long Description
PROJECT MULAFOCO (PM) proposes a project-oriented museum promotion and dissemination of all media and forms of fo raphy within a global context. The museum project is introduced to the world today through various modalidades─ ─a as a way to disseminate the work of artists and photographers. Through inviting international artists from around the world are welcome all forms and expressions using photography as a basis or starting point. One of the main objectives is to create an archive of photographic work to preserve the photographic heritage of the world. This project-museum in 2013 located in Montevideo, Uruguay, was conceived as a project interested in contemporary photography to collaborate with artists , photographers, communities and institutions ─de Latin America and the rest of mundo─ related to education and culture in general through the presentation of projects and exhibitions covering a broad spectrum of contemporary aesthetics and different technologies, giving students, educators and researchers a platform for visual study related to contemporary photographic expressions ─ including new technologies global─ world. In order to stimulate the creation and photographic expression, and propose new research lines related to the collection and analysis of imaging in an integrative framework of cameras and digital processes, the project-museum promotes greater understanding and appreciation of the consequences of the image as artistic, cultural and political vehicle of development of today's world, played as public and community service. Similarly, in order to promote and expand the dissemination of visual arts, the focus is on finding new talent to showcase their work need to use ─sin preconceptions or parameters generally applied to "validate" the work of a artista─. For this reason, the project-museum offers a line of work programs and exhibitions that encourages reflection on contemporary photography, as well as recognition of the work of photographer, professional or not, artist or hobbyist, but has not yet received accolades criticism or meets the criteria officially established. In yearbooks books unique and exceptional works of photography will be published with the aim to preserve, disseminate and transcend memory as generators vehicles creating an educational tradition through image distribution centers and institutions as research material, study and analysis.
