Los “Sleeches” son la forma adulta de los “Fleeches”, habitando en las cavernas y túneles más profundos de “Necrum” una antigua ciudad de los muertos para los Mudokons. 💀
El aspecto de los “Sleeches” es similar a una sanguijuela gris con ojos brillantes y una boca que se divide en cinco secciones con una lengua afilada funcionando como gancho; La piel coriácea le permite camuflarse entre las rocas en espera de una víctima para arrojarse a una increíble velocidad que difumina sus saltos.
Adaptados para vivir en las profundidades subterráneas los “Sleeches” son sensibles a la luz de antorchas y bengalas que los puede espantar pero no se alejan demasiado esperando una oportunidad para atacar con sus mandíbulas, siendo los “Sleeches” guardianes del santuario “Necrum” el joven Mudokon “Abe” debe superar las trampas de sus ancestros y enfrentar la oscuridad de las catacumbas con valor. 🔥✨

Con valor y decisión el joven “Abe” regresa por su cuenta a las “Granjas hostiles” para enfrentar a su jefe “Molluck” como un Mudokon renovado y libre, burlando nuevamente los sistemas de seguridad de los “Sligs” logra llegar hasta sus hermanos cautivos para guiarlos hasta los portales donde serán evacuados fuera de la fábrica trituradora de carne.
Con sus hermanos a salvo y su objetivo resuelto, “Abe” cae por sorpresa en la junta de los ejecutivos Glukkons quienes protegidos por la seguridad de los “Sligs” no son rivales ante la nueva transformación de “Abe” en el semidiós “Shrykull” una entidad sagrada con la capacidad destructiva de enviar rayos en todas direcciones para eliminar toda la artillería hostil y dispositivos tecnológicos de los Glukkons. (Toda la junta administrativa es electrocutada.)
Con la fábrica detenida y las pérdidas financieras por el piso, el último Glukkon sobreviviente y exjefe “Molluck” consigue capturar al rebelde “Abe” luego de finalizar su transformación, aislado en una celda el propio “Molluck” visita al capturado “Abe” para supervisar su ejecución pero la intervención oportuna del chaman “Bigface” y sus hermanos Mudokons comienza una oración para evitarlo:

Todo termina bien para “Abe” quien paso de un simple esclavo a convertirse en el salvador de su Mundo. Pero su misión aún no había terminado hasta rescatar a todos los Mudokons junto con “Sam” la madre de “Abe” (Mientras el cartel de “Magog” quedo resentido financieramente…)

Llegamos a la recta final de esta narración y con la mención de todos los problemas ambientales, guerras y esclavitud por causa de la era Industrial “Glukkon”, el continente de mudos proyectaba una sombra de crueldad en el destino de cada “Mudokons”. 💀
Naciendo en cautiverio como todos los Mudokons el pequeño “Abe” fue sujetado por su madre “Sam” para coserle la boca en un intento desesperado de callarlo para salvar su vida ante las amenazas de muerte por parte de los Glukkons fastidiados por el disturbio. Los puntos de su boca los conservaría hasta su adultez como parte de su personalidad. 😢
Abe era un esclavo obediente y conforme con su trabajo de brillar pisos hasta el día que descubrió una verdad horrible que lo despertó de la miseria en la que había estado a gusto con sus hermanos, ignorando el cambio que traería la revelación de que su jefe “Molluck” el Glukkon utilizaría la carne de sus hermanos Mudokons como nuevo producto cárnico para su fábrica genero una reacción de pánico en Abe, quien temeroso por su vida emprendió su fuga junto con los pocos hermanos mudokons que pudo encontrar en su travesía. 😊
Concepto-01: El optimista “Abe” es el protagonista de “Oddworld”, la especie Mudokons a la que pertenece es una especie humanoide que evoluciono de las aves (su esqueleto hueco los vuelve extremadamente agiles y livianos) sin posibilidad de volar la única pluma visible que le queda es un reducto de su cola de caballo, la piel de “Abe” es de naturaleza camaleónica y expresa su estado de ánimo con su color de piel (el tono azul violeta representa depresión por su raza.) Para poder escapar con vida de la Fabrica “Abe” tiene la habilidad inherente de controlar mentalmente a los “Slig” para burlar cada anillo de seguridad por medio de un canto o mantra. (La herencia espiritual de sus ancestros tribales.) Pese a su apariencia desgarbada o torpe “Abe” es el elegido y futuro salvador de todas las especies esclavizadas. 🐦

Para terminar con los “Sligs” del cartel de “Magog” presento su versión más potente llamados Gran hermano Slig, cuando los negocios van mal siendo afectados por la fuga o revueltas de esclavos, los Jefes Glukkon convocan su mejor elemento de seguridad. 🎯
Los Big-Bro Sligs son mastodontes llenos de esteroides y fuerza bruta que actúan para reprimir las masas de esclavos “Mudokons” con auténtica disciplina y poder de fuego comparable en un tanque despiadado. Sus músculos tonificados son una alteración genética que los vuelve más impresionantes pero no mejora su inteligencia de vago. 😅
Con mayor masa sus pantalones robóticos son cambiados por “pantalones blindados” capaces de soportar su abultado cuerpo al caminar en cuatro patas resistentes al caos de los disturbios; Su mascara cuenta con un sistema antigás y cada pierna está equipada con visores que le ayudan en la detención nocturna de intrusos. (Que los dioses se apiaden de la pobre alma capturada por un Big-Bro Slig.) ☠

En el pasado la controvertida Luna en el cielo nocturno tenía la huella de una palma “Mudokons” aquel hallazgo indigno de sobremanera el colectivo de Glukkons que buscaron por todos los medios derribar la espiritualidad de los “Mudokons”, Este evento fue llamado “El Cisma”
Hipnotizado por la “Luna Mudokons” el joven “Abe” se descuida y cae desde un acantilado causándole la muerte pero por fortuna un místico chaman consiguió revivirlo mientras le revela el pasado ancestral de los “Mudokons” antes de ser esclavizados; El chamán tenía la plena confianza de que “Abe” traería el equilibrio.

El chamán era conocido como “BigFace” (GranCara) y había estado esperando por largo tiempo al elegido. Bajo la guía de “Big face” el joven “Abe” debería purificar su alma y recuperar su identidad ancestral al superar las pruebas de “Paramonia y Scrabania” enfrentar sus peligros y encender las antorchas que los Glukkons habían apagado luego de negociar con la carne de los animales sagrados. Consiguiendo anteponerse ante los desafíos “Abe” obtiene los dos tatuajes místicos de las tribus aliadas junto con un poder sagrado para rescatar los mudokons que seguían siendo prisioneros.

Oddworld Abe's Oddysee è un platform/adventure uscito nei primi anni di vita della PSX.
Abe è un alieno facente parte dell'etnia Mudokon, ridotta a lavorare in regime di schiavitù nei mattatoi Ernia dai prepotenti Glukkon.
I Glukkon dopo aver portato sull'orlo dell'estinzione le diverse razze di animali esistenti sul pianeta decidono che il loro nuovo snack sarà proprio a base di Mudokon.
Il gioco prende il via proprio dalla scoperta casuale di Abe del diabolico piano e quindi dalla sua disperata fuga dai mattatoi.
Si prende il controllo del simpatico alieno partendo dal bellissimo filmato introduttivo e finendo con una bellissima soluzione di continuità direttamente nella schermata di gioco iniziale.
Già dalla prima schermata si nota l'atipicità di questa produzione, non sono presenti punti, energia vitale, numero di vite a disposizione e alcun tipo di indicatore. La scelta decisamente azzeccata del team di sviluppo è stata di inserire tutto ciò che serve al giocatore direttamente nel contesto di gioco tramite pannelli applicati alle pareti, schermi a led e luci fosforescenti che occorrono in aiuto proprio quando servono.
Il nostro protagonista non ha affatto abilità da supereroe, può solo correre e saltare, occasionalmente lanciare piccoli oggetti, ma più in là , quando avremo familiarizzato con il sistema di controllo scopriremo che è in grado di controllare i propri nemici con la forza del pensiero e di poter spesso sfruttare situazioni avverse a proprio vantaggio.
Il sistema di controllo si presenta pratico e funzionale, con i tasti frontali per saltare e compiere azioni e i dorsali destinati alla camminata furtiva, alla corsa ed alle abilità di linguaggio che vi permetteranno di interagire con amici e nemici.
Graficamente parlando il titolo si presenta davvero bene sfruttando schermate statiche o parzialmente animate spesso inframezzate da filmati in CG che si fondono totalmente con il gioco creando una soluzione di continuità spesso esaltante. Tutti i protagonisti sono ottimamente animati e il level design risulta sempre ispirato e volto a proporre continuamente nuove e stimolanti sfide al giocatore. Dal punto di vista artistico il titolo si distingue per un azzeccato mix tra fantasy e horror un pò alla Tim Burton o Peter Jackson distinguendosi tra l'altro per una spettacolare caratterizzazione di tutti i personaggi, siano essi protagonisti o solo comprimari.
L''unica vera pecca di quello che altrimenti avrebbe potuto essere un vero capolavoro sta nel brutto sistema di salvataggio che purtroppo lega molte schermate tra loro in diverse macrosezioni che vanno portate a compimento alla perfezione pena il dover ricominciare da capo il tutto con enorme frustrazione da parte del giocatore complice tra l'altro un sistema di controllo preciso ma fin troppo rigido e legato ai vari frame di animazione del protagonista e che spesso, se non imparati alla perfezione portano ad una fine prematura con conseguente reiterazione di sezioni importanti nelle quali, magari anche a fatica, si erano salvati diversi mudokon e il tutto, il più delle volte, per un piccolo salto andato male.
Gioco sicuramente consigliato a chi voglia provare l'esperienza di un gioco d'avventura intelligente ed alternativo tenendo tuttavia in conto la sua natura di trial & error di certa scuola videoludica anni 80/90. - ping.fm/FD7Y3

Es inevitable que este paisaje me recuerde al famoso juego donde Abe es un Mudokon que trabaja en la mayor planta trituradora de carne de Oddworld... los Mundokons siempre han sido incombustibles obreros, hasta el feliz día en el que al jefe de la planta se le ocurrió la comercial idea de hacer hambuguesas con ellos.
Abe intenta salvar a sus amigos y a los de su raza del malvado jefe Molluck convirtiéndose en un héroe y liberando a todos.
Abe escapes Rupture Farms and into the Free Fire Zone in Oddworld New N Tasty, a remake of Oddworld Abe's Oddysee video game from 1997 for the PS1 console.
Abe belongs to a race called Mudokons, a spiritual species that are being enslaved by a wealthy yet incompetent industrialist race called Glukkons, and beaten and overseen by another enslaved race called Sligs and their pets, Slogs. When profits on the food that Glukkon's are producing fall short, given that the species that they are turning into food is becoming slowly extinct by their practices, Abe stumbles upon their plans to eat his race instead, he decides to escape and try and help his fellow race working in the factory at the same time by escaping too.
Oddworld Inhabitants Inc brought Abe back by popular demand with the help of UK based company, Just Add Water onto the PS4, PS3 [ don't recommend this version, really buggy and the cut scenes don't work very well]XBONE, and PC in 2014.

Phew I didn't kill any Mudokons, actually there are two endings to this game, one with good Karma [ saving all 300 Mudokons ] and one where you have been a jerk and not saved any of your friends and have killed some [ there is a trophy for killing 99 of them, I hate killing my friends]. One of Rupture Farms' last Zulag areas.
Abe will be rescued by his friends and the elders if he saves his buddies, and they won't help you and Abe is killed if you don't.
