The DSLR version is tad better than the iPhone shot! As I always say, God set it up and I just pressed the button.

This was during tree thinning work due to some dieback.
Most of the work was being done over the back of the wood and this was their access to the site.

In the country, especially, there are such a lot of entertaining things. I can walk over everybody's land, and look at everybody's view, and dabble in everybody's brook; and enjoy it just as much as though I owned the land...”

Back in Bristol on the grandchildren minding shift, so I keep my promise to get myself down to Clevedon to get a sunset photo of that great pier. Given the position of the setting sun I find myself with a composition in front of me I’ve not not seen of this great structure, but getting in this position was a muddy affair and I did not have my wellies! The lively sea is an added bonus.
My Mom used to tell me when i was a kid that these Heron's were known as Mud Heron's...this muddy blue is for you Mom.

Baxter needed a bath when we got home yesterday - and its not an easy job bathing a dog with so much hair! Thank goodness he doesn't struggle, and he comes and sits for the hair dryer!!
Early on Saturday moning I was out and about for a walk in a forest and around a pond which is the home of many frogs. There are hundreds of them but often you only hear them. This time I was lucky and actuallly saw one but had to peek though the reeds to take photos, always trying to avoid any unnecessary movement which could startle him. The water was muddy and ugly but that's something the frogs like because they can hide in there even better.
Was just left with a muddy walk around Colwick Park after most of the very light snow had thawed, hoping for a much bigger snowfall in Nottingham before winter ends. Sony A7II/24-70mm.

Saturday Self Challenge: Liquid
With overnight rain and a maximum of 11 degrees its beginning to feel like winter! Taken at a dairy farm in the Adelaide HIlls, South Australia, where my nephew now manages the farm of 100 cows. When I was a child dairying was the main industry - now only a few farms remain as vineyards and urbanization take over.
