This is a view of the mud volcano near Cartagena. The mud is not hot really. I think gasses from the swamps push the mud up and it forms the shape over years, or decades, or centuries, I'm not sure.
The Chandragup Mud Volcanoes, Baluchistan appears to erupt the Milky Way as it sets behind these volcanic structures. This picture is captured in perfect motion, as the center of Milky Way touches the top of the mountain.
