EN NS 186 040 with carriage set 16502 underway as intercity 1165 from Den Haag Centraal towards Eindhoven Centraal. The intercity has a few minutes stop at Tilburg. On the right NS 2508 departs as local train 5266 from Eindhoven Centraal towards Tilburg Universiteit.

The Morris Minor derived van making a delivery at the shop is possibly making it a tight turn for CVH743 as it comes off Jepson Lane into Victoria Road.

Leafing through a second-hand book only to find this rather nice official shot of London Country Metro-Scania MS2, with a very young-looking Preselector at the wheel. Worrying that it was taken no less than 48 years ago, even more worrying that the book was titled 'Bus Blunders'..........!

Originally with a Park Royal body, seen here with its East Lancs body presumably when new in 1961. The Church is St Paul's Methodist, with its parade of tenanted shops, an arrangement that continues to this day, although the church is now known as Southgate Methodist Church, following amalgamations with a number of other Methodist Churches in Elland. This is the church I attend. Note the once ubiquitous Greenwood's mens' clothing store on the corner!
