Continuing my quest to photograph all public libraries in Kent, today I filled in a few gaps from the north east corner.
These lovely cheerful characters were just some of the creations made by the local crochet club who meet in the library. I also saw a giant with his beanstalk, Peter Rabbit and lots more.
126 in 2026 no 110 the more the merrier (and this crowd certainly do look merry!)
And don't feel you have to restrict it to the ones shown here.... I think I'd like to be Little Miss Sunshine.
I think I love these lot as much now as I did way back then.

Beefeater is a chain of family pub restaurants in the United Kingdom, set up by Whitbread in the 1970's. From 1981 to the early 1990's children would get a Little Miss / Mr. Men badge with their children's meal.

Arriva Yorkshire West have fourteen ADL Enviro 400 bodied Alexander Dennis Tridents which are most commonly found on route 268 between Dewsbury & Bradford. All fourteen carry the name and graphics of a Mr Man or Little Miss and all but 1906 and 1913 are route branded for the 268.
Pictured in Westgate, Heckmondwike, Mr Funny carries fleet number 1903 and is passing through it's home town here on it's way to Dewsbury.
It was prom night for Mr. Funny and his high school friends. My husband and I fixed dinner for the prom dates and another couple. We ended the meal with chocolate fondue and a huge spread for dipping.
Now, I'm off to pack because we are leaving (on a jet plane) early tomorrow morning for orientation to Mr. Funny's university for the fall. First on the list to pack is the caffeine pills.
P.S. I tried to pack Mr. Funny's girlfriend. She is beautiful. She is smart. And we just might keep her!
They have been translated into American English too, but there is still pandamonium when Mr Tickle goes round town tickling everyone.
Not Mr Happy as the uneducated call him. He's a Mr Men book holder for all good children's sections of bookshops. Daniel and I found him in the Bethany Charity Shop about five years ago and walked him back to work.
I think that he brightens the place up but he seems utterly hated by most people that I work closely with...
This was taken the week that I did a major re-organisation. That basically means that I moved a filing cabinet away from the window, and got the good bloke from Corporate Affairs ro reconfigure my desk into an L-shape so I wasn't sitting between to separated bits of desk.
Oh, and I stuck lots of posters up after work had finished. The lamp was a flatwarming gift and went home with me a week later...
Credit goes to boogiedude (I suppose I should call him MrFunny now but boogiedude suits him better) for spotting the photographic potential of this doorway.
