Bucket List Item completed....I was able to drive a tram! I am in the main Tram station getting ready to visit the tram I will test drive. So cool...I am still smiling today/I never had imagined that this wold happen but secretly hoped that one day I may be able to and now just a few days before moving to Warsaw I had the chance to do so. Awesome experience and so much fun. Thank you MPK for allowing me the opportunity to do it!

Przez tydzień wagony typu N8C kursowały na jedynce. Zazwyczaj można je spotkać na liniach 5 i 21. Na linii 21 były wtedy potrzebne Lajkoniki, by liczyć pasażerów.
For one week N8C trams were in service on line 1. Uusally these trams are in service on lines 5 and 21. Lajkonik trams were back than needed on line 21 for counting passengers.

In 2018 this tram was repainted into this smart orange and cream livery in preparation for the moment it is handed over for preservation. The tram dates from 1969 and looked great!
Wczoraj w ramach Krakowskiej Linii Muzealnej kursowały zabytkowe autobusy na specjalnej linii 170. Zadebiutował wtedy wóz widoczny na zdjęciu.
Yesterday as part of Cracow Museum Line historic busses were in service on special line 170. The bus shown in the picture hat its debut.

For the duration of the track renewal work on the Trasa Kórnicka at Osiedla Lecha, service 25 was introduced using one of the bidirectional trams. This was a route shuttling between Kórnicka and Polanka, a journey of little more than 60 seconds. This tram was built in 1969 for Frankfurt and came to Poznan in 2005. Besides the uni-directional trams there are also new bidirectional trams entering service, so far there are four in service, this being the second. They wear a metallic green livery rather than the standard colours. Their arrival will no doubt mean the end of the Duwag bidirectional trams.
Die Rheinbahn im Jahr 2010: Die Fahrzeuge, die seit Jahrzehnten das Bild des Straßenbahnverkehrs in Düsseldorf und Umgebung prägten, befinden sich kurz vor ihrem Abschied: Die letzten GT8S haben ein Jahr später ihren Dienst quittiert und sind, teils mit einem Umweg über Poznań, nach Kraków gekommen. Die klassischen GT8 sind, bis auf wenige Ausnahmen, ebenfalls nach Poznań gekommen und wurden bis November 2019 dort noch eingesetzt. Für die Großraumbeiwagen B4 der Baujahre 1960 und 1961 hat sich keine anschließende Verwendung mehr gefunden - sie wurden, bis auf die Wagen für den historischen Fuhrpark der Rheinbahn, ausgemustert und größtenteils verschrottet.
Am Mittag des 14. Juli 2010 konnte ich den DÜWAG GT8S 3051 auf der damaligen Ringlinie 706 beim Erreichen seiner Endhaltestelle Am Steinberg aufnehmen, während der klassische 8+4-Zug aus dem DÜWAG GT8 2660 und seinem B4 1668 soeben aus dem Betriebshof Am Steinberg ausgefahren ist, um seinen Dienst auf der HVZ-Linie 711 Spichernplatz - Universität anzutreten.
Der GT8S 3051 hatte rund 5 Monate später einen schweren Unfall auf der Linie 712, wurde bei der Rheinbahn ausgemustert und mit Unfallschaden nach Kraków abgegeben, wo der Wagen, nach Reparatur wieder in Betrieb genommen wurde und heute als GT8N RF314 weiterhin im Einsatz steht. Der GT8 2660 wurde im Frühjahr 2011 ausgemustert und drehte fortan bis November 2019 in Poznań als GT8 708 seine Runden. Der B4 1668 wurde bei der Rheinbahn 2012 ausgemustert und mittlerweile verschrottet.

MPK Poznan have a number of older Düwag trams which are now used for maintainence of the tram network, such as this former Frankfurt tram dating from 1963.
MPK Konstal 105Na tram units HZ 267 & 268 arrive at the Kraków, Starowiślna tram route interchange while working a Line 1 service.
