GM 079 passes MP 52¾ at Rossinan on the Cherryville Junction - Waterford rail line with the Ballina to Waterford (Belview Port) DFDS liner.
The Killkenny to Waterford West section of this line once formed part of a through route from Portlaoise, which closed in 1963. The mileposts on this section of the line still measure from Portlaoise. Waterford West cabin displays three different mileposts, one each for:
- Mallow - Rosslare (via Fermoy)
- Limerick - Waterford
- Portlaoise - Waterford (via Kilkenny)
