Damit der Transport noch vor Beginn von der Politik gestoppt wird, rufen das Anti-Atom-Plenum Weserbergland und andere Initiatvien zu einer Demonstration in Grohnde am Samstag, 3. November, auf. Treffpunkt ist um 13 Uhr am S-Bahnhof Emmerthal. Von dort wird es mit einer “Streckenerkundung” zum AKW Grohnde gehen. Zwischendurch gibt es Redebeiträge. Vorm AKW gibt es Musik und weitere Redebeiträge. Ende der Demo ist gegen 16 Uhr.

"This piece began as a study of the form of the head in contrast with the forms that grow out of it; horns and hair of sorts. My study brought me to an odd result. I can honestly say this is one of the weirdest pieces I have created. Through various techniques, the headpiece has absorbed multiple textures. As I worked, I found that the project kept picking up oddities here and there. The name refers not to the function of a regular hair net, but rather to the hair acting as a net and catching things as it goes along."

Ten Japanese electric power companies that operate nuclear power plants jointly covered the cost of renovating a Sellafield-based plant to produce plutonium-uranium mixed oxide, or MOX, fuel. Now the British government-affiliated Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, which runs the facility, has determined Japan will no longer need MOX fuel in the wake of the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant, and has decided to close the reprocessing plant, industry sources said Oct. 18, 2011.
