Ready to hit the road. It'll be fine!

#StoneRhymingZone Stone-Home

HOME: A place where you hang your heart.

We recently got our new house and we've finally been able to move in. The place is a wreck still, but slowly turning into a home.

This week's theme was interesting and I wanted to do something just as interesting with the rhyme. Coming up with something for "home" was a challenge, but I did it! :)

.. Cᴏᴍᴇ Hᴏᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ Yᴏᴜ....

Never thought this would even happen but i realized that when it feels right, no labels, just us, day by day, always wanting the best for us and ourselves, that it gives you energy.

You are a whole ass vibe and ugly. I'm in. ♥

the big move.

a little fact about me: after a previously long relationship, i set rules, non-negotiables. one of the biggest? i always kept a space that was mine, and my partner had their own. separate homes. separate sanctuaries. it wasnt about coldness, but what i needed at the time. however our spaces reflected how we inspired each other. if things turned, id reclaim my space. redecorate, erase, and start fresh. no lingering reminders, just a clean slate.

then you came along (stares at godde). days became weeks, and weeks became months and more months. lol getting to know each other, having fun, and just being. then something shifted. we always said wed avoid rushing into something too intense. it wasnt about being "labeled", it was about staying genuine. communication and openness. no games, defiantly no secrets. thats what we agreed on. (yes, this was another non-negotiable.)

fast forward/backward to the other day. you mentioned you had to remember to pay tier, and i said, “might as well move in.” (so damn smooth, right?). a small pause and just like that, we packed your things, did one last look around, and closed that door.

but by now we know it doesnt end there...

Sakura Sunsets in my new home, I LOVE this new Linden Homes region♥

During a 2011 visit to Yellowstone I checked out the nest of a Northern Flicker (Red-shafted) photographed during my 2010 visit (at Tower Junction). Seconds after setting up my camera I captured this amazing scene. The Flicker is removing one of its eggs presumably to a new nest. I have never seen anything like it and may never again.

A couple months ago, my job moved to a new building. This was one of the last times I was in the old location, after almost everything was moved out.

but I think it's too much stuff. So what are you going to do? I said. & he shrugged & said he was going to trust that everything would work out. & he added, I'm moving back in with my parents. - story people

I will be in and out, we don't have an internet connection at my grandma's and we are PACKED. It is a hurricane here, not literally but figuratively. :) It is so windy and pouring rain, the truck is full, but we are worried about pulling it into the yard at our new home and getting stuck. UGH...

So, I'm going to be MIA for a bit, maybe. :)

I'll miss you all, I'll be back.

One would think I'd look more excited about helping Twon move. :)

I have so many lesbian/uhaul jokes running through my head right now... but they'll have to wait. For now, it's out the door and onto the next adventure.

Perhaps not the best shot (late at night, not properly focused, etc.), but I wanted at least some pic of this moving day. Having people who are willing to start early in the morning, drive 5+ hours, move all the big stuff while I tag along carrying pillows, clean while I take out the trash, and still take time for photography? I am one lucky girl.

October 7th, 2007: Most of the day was spent back at Will's place cleaning & painting, but it was nice to end the day at our new home. =)

Whether you choose to move on and take a chance in the unknown. Or stay behind, locked in the past, thinking about what could've been.

We are getting there, all the rooms almost packed. Looking down this hall thinking of all the memories we made here. Knowing that soon, it will be the last time we walk within this house's walls. It is kind of sad......

To say I've been busy would be an understatement, just crazy. While in Texas and few days later in Missouri ran through some of the worst rain/wind storms of my career and both at night making for some white knuck driving. I pushed through, not because I wanted to, but had to find a safe place to park, the shoulder of the road wasn't an option.

Then finally (after nearly 4 weeks of trying to get there) made it to Minneapolis which is only about 100 miles from Mondovie Wisconsin and with the expectation of getting the new truck, but was told they didn't have one available.

I wasn't a happy camper, told my dispatcher to route me home. I'm quitting, need to go home to empty my truck. That was last Thursday. Less than an hour later I was told a truck would be ready Tuesday, would that be ok? I said sure, just felt like I'd been jerked around for the past month.

Well all is forgiven and forgotten, got the new truck Tuesday, a 2020 Peterbilt. Some things are better, but some not. My old truck had a swivel out table, which was perfect for my laptop. The new truck has a very small writing draw/shelf. I'll figure something out, probably a small folding table.

This shot is from inside the new truck, and what a perfect day for moving. Surprising how much crap you can accumulate over time. Took me about 5 hours to complete the move, but the weather was the best. I've moved into other trucks in winter, wind and snow, I've moved in rain, and once in Atlanta during the summer, so hot and humid.

Anyway, I've got some exterior shots and one of the old truck next to the new one. I'll put a link to the pair shot, nothing fancy. Then on my next posting I'll put my favorite solo shot of the new truck with gorgeous clouds. What a beautiful day to be moving.

No T-Mobile signal here in Mondovie, so have to use my Verizon Jetpack for a mobile hotspot. Will do a little catching up, but only have a couple of hours before I have to hit the sack. You know the drill.

We moved into this rental thinking we would be here 8-9 months. 3.5 YEARS later, its finally almost time to move to the home we built. We purged a lot when we moved from our last home. So why does it feel like we are one stack of boxes away from an episode of Hoarders?

Audrey will LOVE her new backyard!

This was Colin's backyard for !3 years. Olga

Tomorrow my daughter Mara moves to Massachusetts. I will miss not having her close.

I wish I could return to the time when the four of us all lived under the same roof.
