Up early in the morning, saw these Brodeae shining in the dappled sun...they were the only ones left standing after the cat and puppy decided to have a wrestling match in that part of the garden...gotta love 'em.. title is from the movie starring Sydney Portier

A stink bug sitting on a hibiscus seed pod reminded me of the movie title right away

Our assigned subject for camera club was "Title of a Movie". I chose the 1986 film "The Color of Money" since we had bills from USA, Jamaica, Canada and one from Mexico. Our daughter gave us the bills from Jamaica...they are so colorful. Most of the coins are from my husbands coin collection he started when he was a teen.

Thanks for views, comments and favs :)

This is my Van Gogh Clock...Starry Night.

I am a fan of Cowboy Movies and one of my favourites is High Noon, starring Gary Cooper & Grace Kelly.

Shot from the bottom of a glacier crevasse (well, in fact it's a dried out glacier tunnel) on Bøverbreen in Norway. But not quite as dramatic as in the Joe Simpson book with the same title. I went there voluntary to enjoy the beautiful colors of blue ...

I had three idéas for movie title. My first idéa was the best, but I couldn't get it right. My second idéa was okay, but my son thought it was kind of boring, so I put it to rest. So I took the liberty to interpret "The Shawshank redemption" - my favorite movie of all time. Wish I could make it justice some other way than through a still-life-pic, but I'm a bit under the weather this weekend so this have to do for todays shot.

Mitt bidrag till Fotosöndag och veckans tema «filmtitel».

My contribution for this week's theme «film title»; for the Swedish photo group Fotosondag.

"Eye Of The Cat" was a horror, suspense movie from 1969. I never did see it, as I don't like horror movies, but I just might watch this. I saw some of it on Youtube. I'll probably watch it in it's entirety later. My model was Poppy, If you look closely you will see a reflection of Jasmine in her eye. I didn't see that until I got it on the computer. I shot this with my Olympus point & shoot.

Our Daily Challenge - Movie Title

Maybe we need witch doctors to take care of the coronavirus.

Another experiment with blue lighting.

I made a diorama (of sorts) for this challenge, to illustrate the movie "The Borrowers", about a tiny four inch tall family who live in a house and borrow what they need from the people there, to survive. I read the book years ago and I've seen the 1997 movie depiction. There are two other films, one made in 1973 and one in 2011.

Here's a link to the 1997 trailer: youtu.be/HzRvqwWlmfY

I'm not even sure if I've seen this particular movie, but I'm currently staying with my mum and she has this lovely collection of Russian dolls, so this was the obvious choice.

Not Lovecraft here. I just had to get in one of my favourite science fiction movies of the 1970s, "Logan's Run". Released in 1976, it depicts a utopian future society on the surface, revealed as a dystopia where the population and the consumption of resources are maintained in equilibrium by killing everyone who reaches the age of thirty.

The story follows the actions of Logan 5, a "Sandman" who has terminated others who have attempted to escape death and is now faced with termination himself. That's when you're forced to become a runner.

It starred Michael York and the very beautiful Jenny Agutter.

Holding on to them...don't ask why, perhaps for the memories of watching the films...

Theme: Movie Titles

First movie in "The Man With No Name" trilogy. Followed by "For A Few Dollars More" and "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly". All starring Clint Eastwood and directed by Sergio Leone. Commonly call "spaghetti westerns", they were actually shot in Spain.

My personal favorite is "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly".

The background scene is, of course, John Ford's favorite site - Monument Valley. My appearance courtesy of Photoshop Elements 9. (I'm still learning.)

I don't smoke, BTW, but felt the prop was necessary to properly recreate Mr. Eastwood's role. ;-)

Stockholm, july 2011.

- Am I going to be in the newspaper?

- Well, who knows..

He starts to jump, shoot and dribble like a maniac, showing off his whole register and I say;

- You know, I played in that team once.

I then point at the name of the team that is printed on his t-shirt

- Really? That was a long time ago huh?

- Eh yeah...it was. We won the European masters once.

- Oh yeah? Didn´t think white men could jump ha ha...

(And as I like to name my shots after movietitles the name came easy this time.)

When I saw this today, I thought of a movie I saw as a little girl, Le Ballon Rouge. There is just something about a bright red balloon that makes you smile.

Of course, this made me think of the short film; YouTube to the rescue! There was a link for the entire movie. And after watching it (only 34 minutes or so), I realized that this works perfectly for envy as portrayed in the film.
