The move did go smoothly and quickly. I wasn't having very much moved since I wasn't selling the condo and had bought almost all new furniture for the Russellville apartment. The movers had a two hour minimum. To kill time, I had them install my wall mounted TV and the legs on my new couch. It still only took 1-1/2 hours. I forgot to bring a few small things. I am making a list of things to get when I return to the condo today.

The People Mover in Venice is an automated elevated shuttle train. It connects the Tronchetto island and a car parking facility with the major transportation hub of the city (via a station in the port for the big cruise ships). Venice has to cope with huge traffic volumes, not least due to the fact that the city attracts 15 million tourists every year.
The system has two trains pulled by a cable similar to a funicular (but with shallow gradients track). Each of the two trains can accommodate 200 passengers.
This bridge and another bridge (crossing two canals) plus the stations were designed by the Venetian architect Francesco Cocco.

The Detroit People Mover began operation in 1987 and is one of the more interesting transportation options in the heart of the Motor City. Admittedly, I have never taken a ride on the system, but I'm sure some great photos could be taken from the elevated system's trains. I took this photo on January 26, 2018 during a visit to the North American International Auto Show at Cobo Center, a corner of which can be seen at the left in my photo. The Renaissance Center is seen in the distance, with the upper portion of the Detroit Princess riverboat at the bottom of the photo.

A lot can be seen from 200' above the ground. Powered by CN 2297 & 2407, M302 departs the far side of CN Harrison Yard in Memphis with its' freight train bound for Baton Rouge, Louisiana. CN 3054 is at the near side of the yard as the DPU of a northbound empty coal destined for Illinois. And in the distance a duo of duo's, GTW 5825 & IC 6204 and GTW 5815 & CN 5250, are paired up for yard work.
