Nearby are small shops to visit and more.
The inn has seven en suite bedrooms, each with colour television, telephone, tea and coffee tray and hair drier.
In selecting your bedroom, you can choose to overlook the river at the front of the house, or the green fields backed by the mountains at the rear of the house.
Besides the dining-room, there is a large lounge with an open fire and two attractive small bars.
The Tanronnen has long held a reputation for its high standard of cuisine and the homely and cosy atmosphere. Packed lunches are provided on request. The inn is open all year round and the dining-room is open to non-residents.
Because Canmore is situated in a mountain valley one side of town gets dark much earlier than the other side.
As I take a walk on the dark side, I see the sunny side still basking in the summer sun.
The last in-air transfer of a rodent today was between the papa and mama white-tailed kite, much to the displeasure of the 3 fledglings. These parents appear to have started a second nest and will possibly have a new set of chicks in a few weeks.
Nearly 6 km from the highway and up and over a ridge that made us climb 690 metres, we were certainly the only ones there to claim this bench at the side of Upper Twin Lake. This is a face of Storm Mountain not visible from Highway 93.

Finally all the right conditions to get on the skis and get back into the back country. This was the location of a major bridge washout in the floods a couple of years ago. Now there is a temp bridge and work is underway to construct a new one.

This is a wonderful place to visit. Calf and quiet place. The view from here is incredible. It is situated 6000 ft above sea level. If uare planning for a trip to vagamon you can connect this place also.

Dall’alto del Monte Ceva, il sole splende alto, un faro di luce sopra un mare di nebbia ribollente .
L'orizzonte svanisce, le forme si dissolvono e il paesaggio diventa un'illusione eterea, dove la mente dipinge ciò che gli occhi non vedono. La nebbia nasconde e svela, copre l'abisso sotto i piedi e invita a immaginare cosa c'è al di là... o sotto, nel vuoto.
