Drual, a hamlet with just a handful of traditional houses near Platta in Val Medel. We had just crossed the Rein da Medel, the part of the Rhine flowing through this valley.
When you drive up Val Medel you will come to the Lukmanier Pass where you can cross the border and go into Italy.
Einzigartiger Ausblick vom Pass Lunghin (2645m) über den gleichnamigen Lunghin-See hinab ins Oberengadin. Der Pass Lunghin ist die wichtigste Wasserscheide Europas: nämlich der Ursprung der Zuflüsse von Donau, Rhein und Po. Die Landschaft hier oben auf dem Pass ist sehr schroff. Neben Felsen und Geröll, wachsen nur wenige niederwüchsige Pflanzen, wie Gräßer und Moose.

Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world which also known as Sleeping Buddha. Its summit lies at 8,586 m (28,169 ft) in a section of the Himalayas.
Sandakphu or Sandakpur (3636 m; 11,930 ft) is a mountain peak in the Singalila Ridge on the border between India and Nepal. It is the highest point of the ridge and of the state of West Bengal, India.

This shot was taken back in September 2021, after the first hour of hiking on a very long ring-trail in the Piemonte Alps, with base at Gastaldi hut, looking down the warmer valley.

The oldest record of this church in Platta in the Val Medel dates from 1338. I like the paintings on its walls.
Platta was the starting place of another hike for us, on a lovely sunny day.
This is Drual from my photo titled 'Old Hamlet'. As we walked through it, I couldn't help smiling at this ladder standing in the street! I must admit the surfaced street stopped some metres further and changed into a track. I turned round to capture the scene as best as possible, but couldn't avoid the shadow of the barn.
In late July, wildfire haze is pretty much a given. As is the late afternoon monsoonal cumulous development.

Tenía ganas, desde hace tiempo, de hacer una fotografía de paisaje de este estilo con teleobjetivo, haciendo parecer cercanos dos sujetos que en realidad no están tan próximos como parece. Con el objetivo de lograrlo, la madrugada del pasado 31 de diciembre me propuse fotografiar la cima del Anboto iluminada con las primeras luces del amanecer, con la iglesia San Pedro de Untzilla en primer plano. Esta fotografía esta tomada desde Gipuzkoa, con la iglesia en Araba y la cima del Anboto en Bizkaia.

Dolbadarn Castle in Llanberis, Wales which is a fortification built by the Welsh prince Llywelyn the Great during the early 13th century, at the base of the Llanberis Pass, in northern Wales.
