When I arrived at the lake at 6:45 a.m. the first drops of rain were already falling, luckily there was no wind. Dark clouds rolled in from the west, while towards sunrise a colorful sky appeared, true to the motto "Morning red @ bad weather looming".
There were different and photogenic lighting moods for almost an hour. The picture above was the last photo of the morning (7:41 a.m.) because the photographer and camera were wet...
Als ich um 6:45 Uhr an dem See ankam fielen bereits die ersten Regentropfen, zum Glück war es windstill. Von Westen zogen dunkle Wolken auf, während sich gegen Sonnenaufgang ein farbenprächtiger Himmel zeigte, frei nach dem Motto "Morgenrot @ Schlechtwetter droht".
Fast eine Stunde lang hatte es unterschiedliche und fotogene Lichtstimmungen. Das Bild oben war das letzte Foto dieses Morgens (7:41 Uhr), weil Fotograf und Kamera nass...
Treu nach dem Motto "10er am Morgen vertreibt Kummer und Sorgen" standen am Freitagmorgen fünf Fotografen am BÜ "Im Brühl" um den Sonderzug (DZ 17449) nach Würzburg zu fotografieren. Es handelt sich bei der Fahrt um den Betriebsausflug des Städtischen Klinikums in Karlsuhe. Gegen 06:41Uhr klickte dann der Auslöser und 110 459 rauschte vorbei. Der Wagenpark bestand aus Gff n-Wagen und ex IR-Wagen, einer dieser InterRegio-Wagen war sogar im Orginal-Anstrich. Zwei weitere waren Teil des REWE-Supermarktzuges.

Over time, I have developed three mottos for myself when out photographing, and the third is regarding my tripod. I am rarely happy with results caught without it, and always happy with the outcome when using it. One would think that means it would always be at my side. However, life sometimes dictates otherwise.
The dof in this shot is limited in order to avoid camera shake and create an adequate photo. This is a dead tree trunk with open holes. In an attempt to score a woodland abstract without the use of my tripod, certain constraints gave rise to various limitations. Regardless, it presents an interesting result, and a reminder of my third personal motto.
Onder het motto 'Op Weg met de Blauwe 55'ers' organiseerde de TSP op 4 juni 2011 de afscheidsrit van de blauwe reeks 55 van de NMBS. Ingezet werden de loc's 5515 en 5540 van TUC-Rail. De rit begon te Brussel Noord en voerde via Aarschot, Tongeren, Visé, Angleur, Verviers en Welkenraedt naar Raeren. Van daar weer terug richting Angleur en Kimkempois. Vanuit Kimkempois via spoorlijn 36A naar Y Voroux (Ans) en vervolgens via Waremme en Leuven terug naar Brussel Noord. Ter hoogte van het uitrijsein van Raeren duwt loc 5515 de excursietrein richting station, voorbij aan loc 5540. Rechts ontwaren we de ex NS-loc 2454, ex SNCF-loc 662454 van Rails & Traction, thans (2022) loc van de Stichting 2454 CREW.

While a downed tree crosses the opposite side of the stream, what lay at my feet is on it's way out. The water in Cliff Gilker Park is raging as it makes its way down the mountain side.
It is here I also ran into a fellow photographer named Allan. He and I were quipping on how we periodically end up returning to and photographing the same areas. However, changing an angle can illicit a very different result. My second motto, "when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." (A. Einstein)

Some say the mail carrier motto is "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds".
But what about a tornado? The tornado that tore through Mayfield certainly left its mark on the postal system. According to the Paducah Sun, the Mayfield Post Office partially collapsed and lost 80% of its roof. All of the equipment inside was destroyed. However, the mail must go on. A team from Louisville came down the following day to start the clean up process and secure the building. Incredibly, the postmaster said that only one delivery day was missed. Mail would resume the following Monday for those would could still receive it.
Sadly there is no word on when the Mayfield Post Office will reopen. However workers are making repairs on the building and the post office has been relocated to a temporary location for now.

Just wanted to tell you a little more about me :)
My name is Jennie Anna Jeanique. I was born at the 20th of May in 1985.
I live in Alkmaar (the Netherlands) with my love Emiel, in our beautiful pallace we bought a year ago. We've been together since August 2007. I finished an education for audio visual design (moving pictures ;)) in 2007, after that I got accepted for a study to become a Drama therapist, but after a few months I had to quit because I had a mental breakdown. After a year of doing nothing but sleeping and sleeping and feeling really shitty I started with my 365 days project. I always wanted to be a photographer, but because I had some discouragement I quited. My other passion is singing and musical. I played ever since I was a kid and did about 12 musicals. I quited last year because I needed something different and because of personal circumstances. I started taking singing lessons 2 times a month, and I love it! When I was a kid I always wanted to be baby-nurse, after that I wanted to be a musical actress for a long time (still do secretly).
I love animals, I feel really comfortable arround them. My dream is to once have a farm with a Hanging belly pig, pigs are one of my favorite animals. My favorite color is green. My favorite english word is 'Fragile'. On my funeral I want loads of color, balloons. And the songs Bird Gurhl by Antony And The Johnsons and the live version of I remember by Damien Rice. My dreams in life are being happy (with Emiel ofcourse), becoming a mother (of Emiels baby DOH!), and maybe having an exhibition of my photos. My biggest fear is to lose someone I love. Pets included. I can't live without my love and my two cats Aunty Sterre and Mister Koika
and doggy Baby Benthe.

Am gestrigen 6. Januar 2022 war sie nämlich mit der ersten Übergabe nach Oberheutal zu Gange als sie kurz vor Hütten von mir Fotografiert wurde.
Nachdem also nun bereits ÖPNV über die Schwäbische Alb von Schelklingen bis Trochtelfingen wieder stattfindet, ist nun auch Güterverkehr wieder vorhanden auf der Einst Militärisch genutzten Strecke.
Zwar wurden schon die letzten Jahre hin und wieder ein wenig Güter auf der Strecke befördert durch SAB GmbH in Form von Holzwagen, so stellt aber trotzdem diese Neue Leistung ein neues sehr Interessantes Kapitel dar.
Drücken wir allen die Daumen das auch weiterhin wieder viele Züge auf der Einst Stillgelegten Strecke Fahren werden!
Felbrigg Hall
Glory to god in the highest, is the English translation of the Latin motto emblazoned in very large stone letters on the front of the hall. The estate originated with the Felbrigg family. It passed to John Wyndham, who died in 1475, it then remained in the Wyndham family for centuries.
Thomas Wyndham who died in 1522 was a councillor to King Henry VIII. Later residents of the hall included John Wyndham (1558–1645) who was the builder of Felbrigg Hall as we see it today. The last Wyndham of Felbrigg was William Wyndham who died in 1810.
The last owner of the house, before it passed into National Trust ownership in 1969 was Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer. His heir, his brother Richard, was killed in action in the Second World War.
The estate covers around 800 acres, it includes a lake, a walled garden, parkland and woodland.

„Silvester auf der Marienbrücke“ war das Motto der IG Traditionslokomotive 58 3047 e. V., welche mit Sonderzug von Plauen nach Dresden fuhren, bespannt wurde der Zug von 35 1097 und 155 183.
Am frühen morgen des 01. Januar 2020 erreichte der Sonderzug seinen Zielbahnhof Plauen Vogtland Oberer Bahnhof.

Meet Capucine, my new miniature tiger! This 4-month old little lady is discovering her new home and is still quite timid with humans. She hides a lot of the time and often doesn't let me get close. But we are getting to know each other very slowly, we play a lot, and I managed to pet her yesterday. She even purred!

De trein wordt opgedrukt door loc 52 8075 van IGE Werrabahn, die de trein vanaf Triptis naar Lobenstein (Thür) zal brengen, 5 mei 1998.
Vom 4. bis zum einschliesslich dem 6. Mai 1998 organisierte die IGE Werrabahn Eisenach e.V. eine Plandampfveranstaltung über der später in diesem Monat (von Triptis nach Ebersdorf-Friesau) zu schliessendem Oberlandbahn. Nach dem Motto 'Das Oberland voll von Dampf' fuhren die Lokomotiven 44 0093 (DB AG), 52 8075 (IGE Werrabahn), 65 1049 (DB AG), 58 3047 (DB AG) und 58 311 (UEF) Personen- und Güterzüge über den Strecken Saalfeld (Saale) - Gera, Triptis - Lobenstein - Blankenstein und Saalfeld (Saale) - Lobestein. Loc 44 1093 (44 0093) der DB AG hatte gerade Ausfahrt aus Saalfeld (Saale) und Fährt mit dem Zug CB 67103 bei Saalfeld-Gorndorf (hoch) nach Triptis. Der Zug wird nachgeschoben von der Lok 52 8075 der IGE Werrabahn, welche der Zug ab Triptis nach Lobestein (Thür) weiterbefördern wird, 5. Mai 1998.

Onder het motto 'Interbellum' organiseerden Dave Habraken en Martin Huzen op 25 mei 2019, in samenwerking met de SGB, een fotodag tussen Goes en Baarland. Met HTM loc 8 met tramrijtuig SBM 24 (SHM), Cockerill 3098 (MBS) met enkele goederenwagens en treinstel omC 909 (SGB) werden de jaren dertig in Zuid Beveland weer levend gemaakt. Loc Cockerill 3098 (MBS) houdt met enkele goederenwagens schijnvertrekken in de stromende regen aan de Slabbekoornseweg bij Langweegje.
Van 20 tot en met 27 september 2009 werd onder het motto ‘Reisen wie vor 50 Jahren’ een drietal jubilea gevierd: 150 jaar Nahetalbahn, 20 jaar Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar en 10 jaar Rhein-Nahe-Nahverkehrsverbund. Het evenement was een mengvorm van een ‘Dampfspektakel’ zoals er tussen 2000 en 2018 in totaal zes in de deelstaat Rheinland Pfalz zijn georganiseerd en een klassieke ‘Plandampf’, met een financiële bijdrage van de spoorwegliefhebbers. Het evenement werd hoofdzakelijk gefinancierd door de twee jubilerende Verkehsverbünde en het Zweckverband Schienenpersonennahverkehr Rheinland-Pfalz Süd en werd uitgevoerd door Revierdampf. Het streven was zoveel als mogelijk het spoorwegbedrijf ter plaatse van 1959 na te bootsen. Dat ging zelf zo ver dat locomotieven werden aangepast en vernummerd naar locomotieven die in 1959 in deze omgeving rondreden. Loc 01 066 van het Bayerische Eisenbahnmuseum verloor haar klassieke uiterlijk en nummer en werd een DB-01 met het nummer 01 045. Loc 38 1301 van de ÖGEG werd weliswaar uiterlijk niet aangepast, maar wel vernummerd in 38 3156. Het zwaartepunt van de activiteiten lag op de lijn Neustadt an der Weinstraße via Mannheim en Heidelberg naar Heilbronn en ‘zijlijnen’, maar op zondag 20 september was de beurt aan de Nahetalbahn (Bad Kreuznach naar Saarbrücken). Er werd vanuit Bad Kreuznach tot Baumholder gereden. Loc 01 066 (als 01 045) rijdt bij Norheim (Rotenfels) met een extra E-trein van Bad Kreuznach naar Heimbach. De Rotenfels is een 1200 meter lange en ruim 200 meter hoge steilwand, de hoogste tussen Scandinavië en de Alpen.

Die Lok 01 066 des Bayerischen Eisenbahnmuseum verlor ihr klassisches Aussehen und wurde eine DB-01 mit der Nummer 01 045. Lok 38 1301 der ÖGEG wurde äußerlich zwar nicht angepasst, aber erhielt die Betriebsnummer 38 3256. Das Schwerpunkt der Aktivitäten war auf der Eisenbahnstrecke von Neustadt an der Weinstraße über Mannheim und Heidelberg nach Heilbronn und ‚Zufuhrstrecken‘, aber am Sonntag den 20. September war die Nahetalbahn (Bad Kreuznach nach Saarbrücken) an der Reihe. Es wurde von Bad Kreuznach bis Baumholder gefahren. Lok 01 066 (als 01 045) fährt bei Norheim (Rotenfels) mit einem Sonder E-Zug von Bad Kreuznach nach Heimbach. Der Rotenfels ist eine 1200 Meter lange und über 200 Meter hohe Steilwand, die höchste zwischen Scandinaviën und den Alpen.

In totaal kamen acht stoomlocomotieven in actie (en een dieselloc). Loc 52 8134 van de EFB (Eisenbahnfreunde Betzdorf e. Nach dem Motto ‘Dampf-Takt über dem Westerwald’ haben der ‘Zweckverband Schienenpersonennahverkehr Rheinland Pfalz’ und das ‘Rheinland-Pfälzische Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Verkehr und Weinbau’, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutschen Bahn, Rivierdampf und vielen anderen, vom 3. Bis zum 6. Oktober 2002 ein großes Plandampfspektakel organisiert. Wegen der Einführung des Taktfahrplans, fuhren Dampfzüge über der Lahntalbahn (Koblenz – Giessen), der Oberwesterwaldbahn (Limburg (Lahn) – Hachenburg) und der Unterwesterwaldbahn (Limburg (Lahn) – Siershahn). Insgesamt wurden acht Dampflokomotiven eingesetzt (und eine Diesellok). Lok 52 8134 der EFB (Eisenbahnfreunden Betzdorf e. V. uit Siegen) hat Ausfahrt aus Staffel mit dem Zug N 22978 von Limburg (Lahn) nach Hachenburg, 6. Oktober 2002.
