Florida's State Bird is the Northern Mockingbird, They are fairly widespread in Florida, which is one good reason to make them the State Bird : ) Though not brightly-colored, they are prolific singers. True to their name, mockingbirds mimic other birds songs, often repeating a sequence of notes several times.
Our motorized outrigger parked at Aslom Island. Motorized outriggers like this are the main mode of transport to smaller islands off the coast. Bigger ones that can take as many as 50 passengers are used for ferrying passengers to more distant islands.

Motorized outrigger boat at Cresta de Gallo, Sibuyan. These boats make the hour-long journey from the port at San Fernando town in Sibuyan Island to Cresta de Gallo, often through moderate or rough seas.
A motorized paraglider was buzzing the wetlands near Oyster Rocks and spooked this flock, which was feeding. They took off and headed toward the upper reaches of Canary Creek, where they typically roost. I saw them coming and captured these three as they passed by.

I had been watching a pair motorized hang gliders fly from the north toward Ruby Canyon, and now they were returning. They saw me taking photos of them as they flew toward Ruby Canyon, and both waived to me and I waived enthusiastically. On the way back, they circled Castled Rock, and then came in my direction. This pilot flew in low to say hello, and I shot as he came closer.
After he passed above me, I did a little dance, and he
repeatedly pumped his fist.

I decided to try and bring some life to my winter village display this year, so I built this motorized base for the sleigh and reindeer from 10245 Santa's Workshop.

"NSU was a German manufacturer of cars and motorcycles founded in 1873, and which was acquired by Volkswagen in 1969. VW merged the company with Auto Union to eventually evolve into Audi as it is known today.
NSU began as a knitting machine manufacturer in the town of Riedlingen on the Danube in 1873, and moved to Neckarsulm, where the river Sulm flows into the river Neckar, in 1884. The company soon began to produce bicycles as well, and by 1892, bicycle manufacturing had completely replaced the knitting machine production. At about this time, the name NSU (from Neckar and Sulm) appeared as a brand name.
In the early years of the 20th century NSU motorcycles were developed, and in 1905 the first NSU cars appeared. In 1932 the car production in Heilbronn was sold to Fiat."
