Ja, das ist ein recht bekannter See und ein absoluter Hotspot. Daher - und auch wenn es dort wunderschön ist - besuche ich diesen Ort absolut ungerne, denn ich mag lieber die einsamen Plätze, wo ich für mich sein kann.
Am Parkplatz angekommen, waren schon einige Leute unterwegs und meine nicht vorhandene Motivation ist nochmal weiter in den Keller gerutscht. Aber mein Freund hatte darauf bestanden hier hin wollte und wäre ziemlich beleidigt gewesen, wenn ich zuhause geblieben wäre.
Zunächst habe ich überlegt am Auto zu bleiben und nochmal eine Runde zu schlafen (der Wecker hat um 4:30 Uhr geklingelt), aber dann habe ich beschlossen doch einfach mal loszulaufen.
Unterwegs ist die Stimmung dann doch nach oben gegangen, denn über dem See hing Nebel und die Stimmung war großartig. An den ersten Spots waren schon Leute, so bin ich einfach weitergelaufen.
Übrigens ein weiterer Grund, weshalb ich diesen See nicht mag ist, dass ich die letzten Jahre hinterher immer mindestens eine Zecke eingesammelt habe (ich habe sie zum Glück aber immer fangen und wieder aussetzen können, bevor sie mich gebissen haben).
Am eigentlichen Ort angekommen, ist meine Unmotivation aber blitzschnell verflogen, denn der Anblick war einfach wunderschön und hat alle negativen Gedanken in Windeseile weggespült.
Dieser einmalig schöne Morgen war es auf alle Fälle wert sich aus dem Bett zu quälen und ich werde die nächste Zeit sicher noch ein paar weitere Bilder von diesem tollen Vormittag hochladen.

Playing around in my archived photos this morning, I came across this shot of a 12 point (Royal) Red stag taken back in October of 2022 while visiting Scotland. Seeing him and spending just a few minutes in his presence was the best wildlife encounter of the entire trip, and one of the best thus far of my life.
It may sound stupid to some, but when you research, plan, travel, pay and pray to just see a species…and then you stand on a small knoll in the Scottish Highlands and are blessed with a photo session with magnificence...priceless! It is these times that I dream about while sitting awake in my chair watching crap TV.
Two thoughts on this encounter:
A wise wildlife photographer once shares with me “If you want National Geographic type photos, you have to go where National Geographic goes!”
A quote I recently shared on Facebook that read “God is in control, but He doesn’t expect you to lean on a shovel and pray for a hole.”
Legal note: I am in no way, shape or form insinuating this shot is worthy of National Geographic...the saying is to me about travel, not the quality of my shots shared.
By writing the above…I have motivated myself to get off my shovel and start planning another adventure!

This was meant to be just a recce as I favour a good sunset (ok we don't seem to get those atm) but the walk from where you park the car is longer then I expected especially when I've been suffering from a bit of a Lyme flare up this week. However for me poppies are enough of a motivation to shake off any aches and pains!!
The light and shadows I think were enough for me to come away with a couple of shots that weren't completely flat but I do favour that golden light
I hope to return before they go over! And summer where are you?

Lac Gaube, French Pyrinees. We went there in Spring and were not prepared for the 4 hours hike up the mountain, through the melting snow. The kids were very small and quite suffering as the way was not easy, but we never gave up. These views were the award. We all as family changed that day, learning about self motivation. In my case I fell in love with this mountains and that, I never imagined could happen. That feeling changed my life forever as it truly connected me with nature and landscapes

For some time now I'm lacking of motivation, I'm having trouble finding my way, and I'm having a hard time blossoming in what I'm doing. All of this locks me in a vicious circle. So much that I've been sick for 2 months and I think if I still am, it's because I don't want to heal.
To try and get me out of this, I bet on my long-term photo projects, it's more or less effective, making progress is encouraging.
I'm asking a lot of questions, but I think I should just ask the others.
I kind of quitted my sociability from the Netherlands to get back to my French solitaire daily routine.
It's hard to describe the state of mind in which I am, because despite this, morally I am in good shape, but I'm still a little bit annoyed by what's going on right now.
I will try to do a week of black and white photo next week, I was thinking of self-Portraits, I don't know too much, if you have ideas, leave it in comment, I'll take care of the rest ;)
It's been a long time since I've written about me, but I like to do it once in a while, just to figure out why I'm taking pictures of a guy for a period.
I'm not going to ask you to share, I prefer this post to be seen by the people who follow me (of course you do whatever you want ! ), however, do not hesitate to comment (especially if you want to see me experiment techniques).
I hope you enjoy seeing me back with a sombrero in the middle of winter, because I have other photos in this style :)

Depuis un moment je manque de motivation, j'ai du mal à voir où je veux aller et j'ai du mal à m’épanouir dans ce que je fais. Tout ça m'enferme dans un cercle vicieux. A tel point que ça fait 2 mois que je suis malade et je pense que si je le reste, c'est parce qu’intérieurement, je ne souhaite pas guérir.
Pour essayer de me sortir de ça, j'ai misé sur mes projets photos à long terme, c'est plus ou moins efficace, le fait d'avancer est encourageant.
Je me pose plein de questions, alors que je pense que je devrais surtout en poser aux autres.
J'ai un peu quitté ma sociabilité des Pays-Bas pour revenir à mon train train de solitaire Français.
C'est difficile de décrire l'état d'esprit dans lequel je suis puisque malgrè ça, moralement j'ai la forme, mais je reste un peu saoulé par ce qui se passe en ce moment.
Je vais essayer de faire une semaine de photo en noir et blanc la semaine prochaine, je pensais à des autoportraits, je ne sais pas trop, si vous avez des idées, laissez-moi ça en commentaire, je m'occupe du reste ;)
ça faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas écris sur moi, mais j'aime bien le faire un coup de temps en temps ne serais-ce que pour comprendre un peu pourquoi je sort des photos d'un type pendant une période.
Je ne vais pas vous demander de partager, je préfère que ce poste s'adresse aux gens qui me suivent (après vous faites ce que vous voulez !), par contre n'hésitez pas à commenter (surtout si vous voulez me voir expérimenter des techniques).
J'espère que vous appréciez me voir de dos avec un sombrero en plein hiver, parce que j'ai d'autres photos dans ce style :)
