Aw, no. This is bad. Space Godzilla!
Oh, you didn't know? See, Godzilla's genetic material got into outer space. We don't know if it was due to bodily damage he suffered from Biollante or Mothra, but there was some Big-G tissue out there.
So, this genetic material was sucked into a black hole! While passing through the event horizon, it was bathed in extreme radiation and energy. The already mutated material was transformed again and fused with a living crystalline organism.
What came out the other side of a white hole was a mutated clone of Godzilla with crystalline features and immense cosmic power! That ain't good, but it gets way worse!
This creature's genes acted like a homing beacon and made a direct path to Earth, seeking to dominate the planet and destroy the original Godzilla!
Space Godzilla is bad news! I think we'd rather face King Ghidorah!
Will we even be able to come back tomorrow to finish the countdown, or will Space Godzilla finish us!?
Nowhere to hide,
Nothin doin,
When it's the world,
That's coming to ruin.
There's no shelter under,
It's a citywide cave-in,
As Kaiju thunder,

Mothra Larvae. In her moth form, Mothra was always portrayed as quite delicate in the movies. That makes sense as she was a moth as opposed to the irradiated dinodestruction that was Godzilla, and Mothra tended to take more damage and even die.
So, she went through a lot of life cycles, including the Larvae form seen here. She was powerful in this form and even more durable, though nowhere near as powerful as in her full moth form.
Look to the 1992 iteration of Godzilla vs Mothra and 2003's Godzilla: Tokyo SOS to see glitter used as a power.
Properly declared as 'reflective scales' or 'mirror scales' it was really just a huge cloud of glitter that Mothra would shed. The reflective nature of the glitter storm would bounce Godzilla's breath weapon back and even poison him.
We picked this up in Japan. At the time we were very much into Kaiju vinyl and Bandai led the pack.
This is an unusual battery-op example where the Mothra Larvae will crawll along.

Gojira (or Godzilla) is undoubtedly one of Japan's greatest icons. The Japanese monster first appeared on screen in the movie 「ゴジラ (Gojira)」in 1954. He was called Godzilla in the English dubbing. Since then Gojira has starred in over 30 Japanese films, multiple American films, a trilogy of animated films and an animated series.
Gojira was depicted as a metaphor for the use of nuclear weapons and Dr. Serizawa, one of the main characters in the original film, makes a clear speech against the use of weapons of mass destruction, even using them against the monster, because of the consequences of the rulers having the possibility of using them in the future.
As time went by, the character would lose his image as an icon of the atomic massacre of 1945, and would go through several stages, becoming, at the end of the Showa period, the hero of the film by defending Japan from other monsters.
While Godzilla is an icon of Japan, he is especially famous in Shinjuku. It is very common to see buses with Godzilla images that say "Shinjuku loves Godzilla."
Godzilla head Shinjuku:
It is made to original scale (12 meters). It weighs 80 tons and is 50 meters above the ground, which is supposed to have a real height according to how it is represented in the movies.
Its design belongs to "Godzilla VS Mothra" that was taken to the movies in 1992. It is currently a tourist attraction.
It is possible to access the head from a terrace of the famous Gracery hotel in Shinjuku, installed inside the Shinjuku Toho building.
Editors of Time Out Tokyo included the Godzilla head in their 2019 list of the city's "best public art sculptures".

At 120 meters (394 feet) and 15,000 tons, 'Larvae' seems a misnomer. But this beast causes far more travel destruction than most other kaiju.
Rather than structural damage from a footfall, the immense body undulates, leveling every square inch into a flattened path of annihilation.
While far more agreeable towards humanity than the other kaiju, Mothra (In either form.) is all business when getting into a titanic throwdown and there will absolutely be widespread devastation.
At that size and speed, there's no point in running. You can only hope your home is not in the path.

Built for "Round 1" of Bio-Cup 2022. I went for an earthquake themed robotic kaiju here, with pile-driver legs and equipped with large drills for tunneling through the earth.

Attacus atlas (Atlas moth) is a large saturniid moth found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia, and is common across the Malay archipelago.
Atlas moths were often considered the largest moths in the world in terms of total wing surface area, but recent sources confer this title upon the Hercules Moth from New Guinea and northern Australia. There wingspans are also among the largest, reaching over 25 cm (9.8 in). Females are appreciably larger and heavier than the males.
Atlas moths are said to be named after either the Titan of Greek mythology, or their map-like wing patterns. In Hong Kong the Cantonese name translates as "snake's head moth", referring to the apical extension of the forewing, which bears a more than passing resemblance to a snake's head. Japan only has the A. a. ryukyuensis subspecies which is native to the Yaeyama Islands, principally Yonaguni, and as such is called the Yonaguni-san (ヨナグニサン《与那国蚕》, "Yonaguni silkworm"). It is said to be the inspiration for the movie monster Mothra.
The largest lepidopteran in terms of wingspan is considered to be the White Witch, Thysania agrippina. A record specimen of Attacus atlas from Java measured 262 mm, while Thysania are documented to be about 290 mm or more.
In India, Atlas moths are cultivated for their silk in a non-commercial capacity; unlike that produced by the related silkworm moth (Bombyx mori), Atlas moth silk is secreted as broken strands. This brown, wool-like silk is thought to have greater durability and is known as fagara. Atlas moth cocoons have been employed as purses in Taiwan.
I was scrolling around in some pics and saw this one that I took a while back. It made me laugh, so I decided to post it!! I like the total nerd that I am, and I fly my geek flag high!! I love all of my nerdy kindred spirits here on Flickr too, and I am already imagining whose funny bone among my contacts, this will tickle. King of The Monsters
-LET THEM FIGHT-
I've always wanted to try making Godzilla! This MOC is based on the design from the Monsterverse movies and was super challenging to pull off. There are so many small details and subtleties to his proportions that took a lot of trial and error, but I think I've found a level of accuracy that I'm comfortable with.
The amazing photo editing for these shots was done as always by the wonderful @loaf_builds make sure you check out the other monsters from the collab as well!
Along with Battra and Godzilla, Bandai released the 1992 version of Mothra larva. It is my humble opinion that at the time, this figure was Bandai's most realistic kaiju production. Every part of the figure is just as accurate as the monster used in the film. The figure (and design) is very similar to the Great Monster Series 1961 released in 1984 and then reissued in 1991. However, the feelers are much smaller and so is the figure. The tail is also molded vertically while the Great Monster Series' is not. Though the figure is anything but small, it is around 10 inches long. Mothra comes in two paint variations, biege and russet. It is difficult to tell which one is more rare because the figure itself is hard to find. In fact, it's possibly the hardest Heisei Bandai figure to find, leading some dealers to charge over $200 for it. The figure originally sold for 1,200 yen in Japan.
