Cloth from my mother-of-the-bride dress that I will be proudly wearing this Saturday, 1 April!

Original image by me; rephotographed off the screen in PANO-Vision mode using the iPhone8 Plus and processed with Vinci and CS5.5

Father of the groom and mother of the bride, at a family wedding, near Barga, Tuscany, Italy.

Shot with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G lens, with lighting from an off-camera, ceiling-bounced Nikon SB-600, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.

As organist John Shaw plays the strains of J.S. Bach's “Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring” the wedding ceremony itself begins in earnest with the escort of each mother to her seat.

Though, to be honest, I must admit that Slade's mother looks more like she is doing the escorting — of Slade's two children — than being escorted by them. My own mother is escorted in by my father's brother.

It is not unusual that a relative, like my uncle, should escort the mother of the bride, since the father of the bride must escort the bride herself. But you might well wonder where Mister Casey is and why his wife is having, contra all tradition, to navigate the aisle by herself. The reason is that — just as in another wedding I attended recently — Mister Casey, the father of the groom, has himself been chosen as the Best Man and must therefore wait and enter with the groom.

I had wondered how a wedding would work in a two-aisle church; the answer at this stage of the ceremony seems to be that each mother gets her own aisle.

Cassandra designed this dress for herself and I LOVE it! At one point it was for sale for $700. She said I could 'rent ' if I really wanted to wear it to something special.

Walking around Stourhead it soon became apparent that there was a wedding taking place - just as I was leaving I had an opportunity to take some sneaky shots - if anyone knows the bride and groom, please feel free to pass these images on.

As a professional graphic designer by day, I created the programs and whipped up a wedding Sudoku puzzle for the guys at the back of the booklet. Yay, no yawning! They were hand assembled by me and some wonderful friends. I did a ribbon whole punch and a single dot hole punch to prep for the "icing" on the cover. A flower on the front was tacked on and a bow tied above it to maintain the formality of having a ribbon but remove the stigma that it has to be used to bind it.!

Three years ago my daughter was married and this was a little something that she handed to my wife ~ it also contains a lovely note and of course a (k)not!

A mother of the bride two piece formal in cream satin is a sensual treat to wear! And when I walk around in it the feeling is amazing and you get the "swish of the satin" sound !

I felt like a change today, unusual but this has been hanging out so long and not worn for ages so I just went for it. My full wedding guest outfit, well one of them, all I need is a wedding to go to. Unusually I'd even accept being some mans arm candy just for such a chance, no string obviously.

I love #weddings #aneventtorember2014 so many beautiful gowns!

I am available (when this is all over) at reasonable rates

even back in 1999 that was on my mind :)

The 'Mother of the Bride' has to look her very best!

A French Wedding in Oradour-sur-Vayres.

Keeley and her family moved to France about 15 yrs ago. Lauren and Lewis, her then young children, adapted to French life instantly! Keeley and her husband Gary ran a 350 acre limousin cattle farm.

Gary left France and came back to England and has now remarried.

Keeley was left with her kids to carry on and keep the farm going! In the photo Keeley is leaning into the new love of her life, Sabastian. (its about time she found herself a good man)!

He like her works, the fields and farms and they both drive a tractor! She is one incredible human being ..... the best day of her life was this day, her daughters wedding

I think her granddaughter "Alice", asleep in her pram, has had quite enough excitement for one day!

;D It's been a long time since I did my wedding and many things have changed and I've never been the Mother of the Bride sooooo I've got my new hat on the MOB and ready for the games to begin!!!

anybody in need of one?

A highly enhanced pic of me; nevertheless, I am honest about my feelings :)

Trash the Suit or in this case, trash the Mother of the Bride. Was once an expensive Mother of the Bride royal blue satin skirt suit from Laura K. Well, actually it still is, stain-free and has been worn on numerous occasions since the trashing
