The night after that, the Ahr flood disaster struck. My thoughts and sympathy go to those who have lost their lives, loved ones and livelihoods. Do not give up. Together we can do it.
Green is the colour of life, reflected in nature as a sign of renewal. The quiet atmosphere, beautiful scenery, good smells and fresh, clean air in forests all contribute to the healing of our nature and of course, ourselves.
Hope you have a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or even a break from your busy life!
Have a fantastic Sunday!
POETRY VAGABONDAGES ( not mine)

Nature
Mother Earth,Mother Earth
take the seed and give it birth.
Father Sun,gleam and glow
until the roots begin to grow.
Sister Rain,Sister Rain
shed thy tears to swell the grain.
Brother Wind,breathe and blow
then the blade, green will grow.
Earth and Sun and Wind and Rain turn to gold, the living grain!
Have a beautiful summerday my friends!
Listen to the animals
Listen to the trees
Listen to the spirits of the Earth
Begging us please
Stop listening to greed
Listen to the rivers
Listen to the sea
Listen to the spirits of the deep
Begging us please
Stop listening to greed
She sent the drought to warn us
She sent the storms to scold us
But we don't listen
We burn and we break
And we take and we take
And we take
Till it's too late
Oh where did the beasts go?
Where did the trees go?
Where will man go
When he has lost
The heartbeat
Beneath his feet
Oh this is our home
She gives us home
Mother Earth
Can you feel
Her heartbeat
Beneath your feet
Heartbeat
Beneath your feet
Heartbeat
Beneath your feet

Thank you to my lil sister who let me go with her to Yosemite. A super big thank you, to my two nieces, who kept me smiling and entertained the whole trip.
Mother Earth,
This sculpture can be found at Grandholm Village, Aberdeen.
Grandholm Village was built by Cala Homes on the site of a former mill Aberdeen City Council instructed Cala Homes to provide a suitable artwork for the area. The commission was awarded to Andy Scott Public Art of Glasgow.
The sculpture was created by Andy Scott and his assistant at the time, George Potter, and took around 6 months to complete, being installed on site in 2005.
The theme chosen was one of a female figure to represent a kind of 'Mother Earth ' figure. She is draped in a steel 'fabric' to represent the cloth weave of the Crombie Textile Mills, which once occupied the site.
The big cats or leopards are representative of those incorporated in the city of Aberdeen's coat of arms.
My feet were just about numb this freezing fall morning Looks like its about time to break out the wool socks.
Lake Sabrina is so hot with fall colors right now. All you humans on Flickr are welcome to come on up and have fun. I kind of when a bit too far with the red slider 😬 but oh well.

Vathia is an impressive settlement, built centuries ago on the top of a hill. The tower houses and the stone streets compose a special sample of a fortified settlement and a monument of architectural tradition of Mani. Local people have left their houses, in fact it is an abandoned place but in the last few years it got life again by the old towers that restored and converted to beautiful traditional guesthouses and a restaurant with a great sea view.

'Mother Earth' - Memphis Slim - MDPOWELL!!
The Thumb is part of the greater Palisades subrange and is one of several 13K peaks that sit on the High Sierra crest between the two 14teeners Split Mountain to the south and Middle Palisade to the north. The first credited ascent and the naming of the Thumb was by Windsor B, Putnam in Dec 1921. The Thumb is one of the 248 list peaks designated by the Sierra Peaks Section of the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter. As the Thumb lies on the Sierra Crest between two trailheads, it is relatively easy to climb. The Thumb offers unparalleled views of Middle Palisade, Norman Clyde, and Sill.
