morning broke dawns edge
along the line where darkness lives and keeps it pledge
and there alone solemn and still
stood the flower watching over my mill
of mulling and churning
it was broken and scattered
but it didn't matter
it's job was done standing thru the night
to keep away all fright from its delight
it was going to rest and collect itself
because inside was restoration.
and salvation.
Well this was an experiment, I uploaded it from my iphone. Did not allow me to write my normal daily epistle. These jumbo eggs each had two little yolks in them and so for me they were absolutely enchanting, especially in my blue bowl. Hipsta is wonderful but now that I see it large there are some things I would alter.
we've had some beautiful fall mornings. crisp air, moist grass. i love the dew-party celebration that happens with sunrise. so much magic right at our feet.

These images were made on my seaside mornings, when the sea had this sylver touch because of the position of the sun, about one or two hours after sunrise.
I loved these moments, because they offered beautiful silhouettes.
Winter can be the best time for silky water, hazy mornings. I know I've posted similar images over the years, but looking out at this view, I can't help but snap away.

Did you have fun yesterday? While getting up at 4am wasn’t as fun initially, going out and being greeted with this light was amazing. It was an early start with the preparation for the Air & Water show 2019 so to set the mood for the entire day was easy after this experience. What do you think?

Another trip together with Christoffer Jon Sinnbeck. This time early morning - before sunrise actually.
The Adventure
It was one of those mornings where you just needed something cozy to wear.
The Nekko got dressed quickly, as the crisp air nipped at their skin.
‘Suppose, I shoulda turned on the heat last night’ They said, chastising themself.
After a few moments of fighting with the thermostat and putting on their shoes, they set out on their morning walk.
It wasn’t long before Honni made it to the beach. They liked it here, it reminded them of similar mornings on rocky New England beaches.
‘That seems like a lifetime ago’ thought the alleycat.

It's that time of year again! The time when I drive my son to school every Friday, and pass one of my favorite barns in Calvert County. I just loved the orange glow from the morning sun, although I do not think I did a great job of editing this one - I wanted to share anyway. Work In Progress :)
This sunrise was taken at one of my favorite morning locations - one that is familiar, and that never disappoints. I have returned to this site many times and have posted a number of morning shots taken here - each one similar and each one holding the promise of a fresh start - a new day. I have a dear friend who is completing a difficult phase of her journey in photography -a journey that will continue and progress. On flickr she is known as brown pelican - to me she is known as friend. Laura this is for you - a sunrise full of hope and the joys of a new beginning. Congratulations - and enjoy your summer.
