For today's theme of the Happy Caturday group we were asked to post a photo which shows a "Morning Routine" of our cat. One of the things which Tofu does every morning is to follow me into the barthroom and watch me getting ready for the day. Usually he flops himself into the bathtub when doing that. When I took this photo he was distracted by Fynn who was preparing to jump into the bathtub too but Tofu's paw was ready .... :) Happy Caturday !

As I stood on the promenade at sunrise, the first light began to paint the horizon with soft golds and pinks, gently illuminating the water below. It was a moment of pure tranquility—a quiet pause before the bustle of the day. Simultaneously, the image itself captures this interplay of nature and urban life. One of the stops on Sharon's Fabulous FREE Fall Foliage Road of 2021 tour today was at the little bridge that has just been reconstructed in Myers Caves Ontario to get a few photos of the little waterfall there and, of course, the beautiful fall colours.

Here is a bit of history about Myers Caves if you are interested.

Meyers' Cave lies north of Highway 7 near Mazinaw Lake. It was named after a counterfeiter named Meyers, who is believed to have had his equipment and silver hidden in the cave. He eventually disappeared without a trace, after years of smuggling the silver out of the cave with the help of local Aboriginals.

Several years later, in 1891, miners were stationed near the Meyer's Cave area and discovered a narrow passage that led to a surreal cavern. Stairs were carved out of the rock in the cavern and they descended about 100 feet to a hidden chamber. In the chamber were tools, Aboriginal artifacts, and a pool of water that extended to a subterranean lake that led to a cave full of silver stalactites. It is said that the miners sealed the cave so that they can return to it and claim the riches inside, but there was never any confirmation that they actually did that.

Today, the entrance to the hidden cavern is unknown. However, many still believe that there is a subterranean lake somewhere in the area that leads to a cave full of silver stalactites.

Today I took Buckshot Lake Road here in Plevna Ontario up to Hwy 41. I then headed south to Road 506 where I ended up once again back home at Chez Plevna. Seen here is Hills Lake.

Almost every Saturday starts off with breakfast at a favourite diner, and at every breakfast, Nard has copious amounts of coffee, while I sip on tea.

It's routine, and it's mundane, but both of us look forward to it every week. Our waitress, who knows us by name, never needs to be told what we'd like is probably the reason why the place is a favourite of ours. The food just magically appears in front of us, and our beverages stay full.

So, today being Saturday, we started the day off with breakfast and caffeine, it came as a bit of a surprise to me that I hadn't done a photo around breakfast time and thought today would be the perfect day to do so.

After breakfast Nard and I parted ways, he went to his place while I took off to visit with my folks for a bit.

All in all, it's been a good Saturday.

Morning routine...

I decided to do the 52 Weeks of BAM with a twist. In my first BAM, I wore my great grandmother's apron. It is one of my favorite things. Here is a shot of me in the morning...literally, I woke up, grabbed coffee and set up the camera. My morning routine is one of my favorite things. I wake up, my husband brings me coffee, I pray, Flickr and get ready for my day. It is a great way to start the day. During the school year, I wake up quite early but during the summer, I linger and it is lovely for my soul. 2/52 (posting and running today~will be back later to check out all your streams)
