I purchased this 1995 Audi A6 used from McKenna Audi in July 1999 when it had 53,000 miles.
I have loved and maintained this car for nearly 10 years. Mileage is currently 165,000. I work from home so the car has pretty low mileage for a CA car.
The only cars I have ever driven have been Audis. Once you drive an Audi you are hooked for life. This was my third Audi after two 5000S models. The only reason I'm selling the car is that I needed a wagon for the utility and have just bought a used 2004 Audi A6 Avant. So now my blue baby has got to go. Even for a 14 year old car, the luxury and driving pleasure and timeless Audi styling are still there. A joy to drive and own.
My Dad has always supervised the maintenance on this car and he knows how to keep things nice and running for years. He still has his 1966 Buick LeSabre convertible in original condition if that tells you anything. So this 1995 Audi A6 is in excellent mechanical condition inside and out.

Burled walnut wood inlays for dash, door panels and console
8-way power front seats with manual lumbar adjustment and memory functions for driver seat and outside mirrors
4 Wheel ABS (anti-lock brakes) and Four disc brakes including two ventilated discs
Dual Airbags (driver and front passenger)
Keyless entry. 2 keys provided. Each key can be programmed for a different driver so that you have two separate seat and mirror settings. There's also a third memory setting located on the drivers door.
Power Windows
Moonroof (sliding and tilting)
Tilt and telescopic steering wheel
Professionally tinted windows (3M with lifetime guarantee)
Full power (windows, moonroof, seats)
CFC free liquid air conditioning with climate control (Ice cold Air Conditioning including vents in the back seat!)
Anti-theft vehicle alarm system
Cruise Control
2 cupholders
Leather-wrapped steering wheel
Leather shift knob and hand brake
Ski Storage sack (run from truck through pass through in backseat armrest). I've never used it for skis but it has come in handy to transport some long items.
Audio:
Sony 10 CD Changer
Prewired for Sirius Radio (professionally installed antennae and power supply). Just buy a Sirius brand radio, plug it into the two connectors, and activate it. That simple.
AM/FM stereo cassette radio with anti-theft and 8 active speaker sound package
Fuel Economy 19 City / 25 Highway (21 gallon tank) Typically if you wait to fill up until the reserve light comes on, you will get at around 350 miles per tank under normal driving (without even using the 3 reserve gallons). On road trips, I have actually gotten 450 miles!) This is a very well tuned engine. My 2004 A6 is the same size but has a bigger engine and gets nowhere near this fuel economy. Something I will definitely miss about my '95 A6.
2.8 Liter, 12 valve, V6 engine
Carfax report available. Carfax shows it had one accident in 1999 (before I owned it) and since I've owned it, zero accidents or body work.
The first couple years I owned the car, I serviced it at Keyes Audi in Van Nuys. Then I switched to the Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills. Most recent service has been done at Ingolstadt West (an independent Audi/VW/Porsche shop) in Woodland Hills and through my Dad's personal mechanic in Reseda.
Recent maintenance:
new brakes on the front
new front tires
replaced both catalytic converters 2 years ago and new spark plugs (so it will pass smog for many years to come)
new belts
new water pump
overhauled radiator
replaced the seals on the moonroof
replaced the airbag sensor/monitoring system on drivers side steering wheel

Peugeot 505
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Peugeot 505 is a large family car produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot from 1979 to 1992 in Sochaux, France. The 505 was Peugeot's last rear-wheel drive car.
It was also manufactured outside France, for example in Argentina by Sevel from 1981 to 1995, China, Indonesia and Nigeria."
"According to the manufacturer 1,351,254 Peugeot 505s were produced between 1978 and 1999: of these 1,116,868 were saloons/sedans.
Officially unveiled on 16 May 1979, the 505 was the replacement for the 504 with which it shared many of its underpinnings.
It was originally available as a sedan/saloon, a station wagon/estate, including an eight-passenger Familiale version, were introduced at the 1982 Geneva Motor Show.
The styling, a collaboration between Pininfarina and Peugeot's internal styling department, is very similar to that of its smaller brother the 305.
The original interior was designed by Paul Bracq, generally more well known for his work for Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
It is known as the "Work Horse" of Africa today.
The 505 was praised by contemporary journalists for its ride and handling, especially on rough and unmade roads; perhaps one reason for its popularity in less developed countries."
(...)
"A range of diesel and petrol engines were offered.
The first diesels (XD2) arrived in July 1979, two months after the petrol versions.
The petrol engines had either four or six cylinders. The diesel engines were all four-cylinder."
(...)
"505 models varied very much in equipment.
Base SRD cars with the 2,304 cc diesel engine didn't even have power steering, but the GTD Turbo, the GTI, the V6, and the TI all had power steering, central locking doors, air conditioning, a five-speed manual transmission, moonroof (except the GTD Turbo), and front fog lights.
In the V6, the power steering was speed-sensitive, the central locking doors came with an infrared remote, and the heating and ventilation systems included electronic climate control.
A three-speed automatic transmission was available on early 505s, which was later replaced by a four-speed unit."

Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Vista Cruiser is a station wagon manufactured and marketed by Oldsmobile over three generations from 1964 to 1977.
The first and second generation Vista Cruisers are noted for their fixed-glass, roof-mounted skylights over the second-row seating with sun visors for the second row passengers, a raised roof behind the skylight and lateral glass panels over the rear cargo area along the raised roof — and three rows of forward-facing passenger seating.
Sharing its bodystyle with the Buick Sport Wagon, the Vista Cruiser was introduced on February 4, 1964, as a 1964 model, based on the Oldsmobile Cutlass/F-85 model.
Prior to the 1973 model year the Vista Cruiser utilized a wheelbase which was 5 inches (127 mm) longer than that of the Cutlass/F-85 sedan.
Subsequent Oldsmobile mid-size wagons featured a skylight as did the 1991–92 full-size Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon and the 1991–96 Buick Roadmaster wagon.
Reminiscent of earlier models, the third generation Vista Cruiser (1973–1977) featured optional rear-facing third row seating, while incorporating a single flat venting moonroof over the front row seating.
GM's 1971–76 full-size clamshell wagons, including the Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, incorporated an optional forward-facing third row and a slightly elevated roof over the cargo area, though no skylight."
- First generation (1964–1967)
- Second generation (1968–1972)
"A major restyling of the GM A-body car line for 1968 replaced the split skylight with a one-piece unit, and stretched the wheelbase 1" to 121 in (3,073 mm).
From 1968 to 1972, a 350-cubic-inch (5,700 cc; 5.7 L) V8 became standard, with a high-output 400-cubic-inch (6,600 cc; 6.6 L) V8 from the 442 muscle car optional in 1968-69, and a 455-cubic-inch (7,460 cc; 7.46 L) V8 available from 1970 to 1972.
Transmission offerings through the years included one of two automatics—the two-speed Jetaway (1968) or three-speed Turbo Hydramatic (1968–72), or very rarely, a standard three-speed manual with column shift or optional four-speed manual with floor-mounted Hurst shifter.
In 1969, the "Dual-Action" tailgate was introduced as an option on two-row models and standard equipment on three-row.
In 1970, an exterior redesign sharpened edges and curves. Although it closely resembled the 1968-69 models, and is essentially regarded a second-generation car (The GM Skywagon Club recognizes the 1970-72 models as "Generation 2a"), many body parts were no longer interchangeable. The dashboard was also completely redesigned.
For 1971, Oldsmobile brought back the Custom Cruiser wagon on the full-sized 98 C-body chassis, featuring GM's disappearing clamshell tailgate, but the glass-roofed Vista Cruiser continued until 1972.
A small number of 1972 Vista Cruisers were modified by Hurst Performance for support car duties at the 1972 Indianapolis 500, joining the 1972 Hurst/Olds official pace car. Both were equipped with 455-cubic-inch (7,460 cc; 7.46 L) Rocket V8. Two modified Vista Cruisers are known to survive as of 2012, a press car and a medical director's car. As of 2012, the medical director's car is owned by a relative of Ray Harroun, the winner of the first Indianapolis 500 in 1911.
In 1998, a second generation Vista Cruiser was used on That 70s Show as Eric Forman's car."
- Third generation (1973–1977)

The most powerful Golf ever is coming to America: Its name: R32. Its output: 177 kW / 240 hp: Its engine: An extremely agile 3.2 liter V6 - which is also installed in the new Phaeton. This compact four-wheel drive sports car from Volkswagen allows a top speed of 247 km/h (153 mph) wherever this is permitted. However, this value only reveals one of the Golf R32's dynamic sides. The manner in which this sports car exhibits a high level of agility, superiority and safety in all speed ranges and in all conceivable situations is equally as fascinating.
V6 with an output of 177 kW / 240 hp: In technical terms, the compact six-cylinder engine is characterized, amongst other aspects, by the continuously adjustable inlet and exhaust camshaft, cylinder-selective knock control and variable intake manifold geometry. The engine's power (a maximum of 320 Newtonmeters) is transferred to the standard 4MOTION four-wheel drive via a six-speed gearbox with tightly graduated shifting travel. A twin-branch exhaust system with two chrome-plated tailpipes ensures that the R32 emits an appropriately throaty roar.
The optical appearance of this new, top Golf model is characterized by its sports running gear which - in comparison with the standard model - has been lowered by 20 millimeters, 18" alloy wheels with 225/40 ZR 18 tires and extensive modifications at the front and rear.
In the passenger compartment, brushed aluminum trim (pedals, center console, gearshift lever, etc.) underlines the dynamic orientation of the most successful car ever built in Germany. The newly-designed front sports seats with integrated headrests and a leather-covered steering wheel exclusive to the R32 have been designed for sporty driving.
The extensive standard equipment fitted in the R32, which will initially be available as a two-door model, includes: Electronically-controlled automatic air conditioner, a high-quality radio system with eight loudspeakers, multi-function display, rain sensor, a rear-view mirror with automatic anti-dazzle setting, heated seats and xenon headlights including a headlight washer system.
As the new top model in the Golf model series, all of the R32's drive characteristics impressively demonstrate the dynamic potential of this compact class best-seller. However, the R32 also shows what is possible when luxury class technology is transferred to another, smaller vehicle class. Because the combination of such a powerful, naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine with standard four-wheel drive is currently unique in this segment.
Volkswagen USA
Firing up the 3.2l sounds like any other VR6 engine until you dip into the throttle which unleashes a very healthy and low growl from the dual exhaust system. Volkswagen takes pride in mentioning the special exhaust "tuning" that went into this system and we're here to tell you that it sounds simply awesome. In fact if we didn't know any better we would have thought the exhaust was a straight aftermarket piece - it was that noticeable.
Clutch take up was lighter than expected, but the new six-speed is smooth and fairly precise making it easy to get going. You can tell that the R32 is a heavy car getting under way, yet it didn't feel too ponderous. The 236 lb-ft. of torque pulls the car out of the hole rather nicely and when you keep your foot planted past 4000 rpms things start to really move with both mechanical engine noises and exhaust tones fighting for attention - this is something we could definitely get used to.
Volkswagen had previously laid out a cone course for us earlier in the day which included a slalom section right out of the gate. This was the most telling part of the whole course and where the R32 truly separated itself from every other Golf and GTI we've driven. In to the first cone the first thing you notice is the very sharp and precise turn-in, but also the fact that the rear of the car is actively part of the program not just being tugged along for the ride like the regular beam axle GTI. By the third cone I found myself needing to correct for oversteer as I hadn't expected any cooperation from the rear of the car, nor any sort of neutrality. Once accustomed to the completely different handling characteristics, the R32 was easy to dice between the cones and provided a great balance all the way up to about 9/10ths when, in typical iron-block-completely-in-front-of-the-strut-towers VR6 fashion the car plowed hard at the limit driving wide of the line. Simply backing off the throttle part-way and scrubbing some speed helped correct the problem, but there is little anyone can do when it comes to the pure physics of placing that much weight in front of the wheels. Just below that threshold though, Volkswagen did a phenomenal job of bringing neutral handling back into the Golf platform and making the car feel completely different than any Golf or GTI to date.
Does it feel fast? Quick and fun absolutely... fast, well.... The R32 tips the scales at a heavy 3,256 lb. which conspires to intrude on any light and nimble feeling one might have in a regular GTI. It is still an aggressive car in so many other ways, with a wonderful engine, wonderful sounds and great handling up to a point that you are willing to forget about the weight. The brakes are easily up to the task and provided fade-free solid braking every time we touched the pedal.
VW Vortex
Launching the R32 is an exhilarating experience, and getting the right amount of clutch-slip will net a 5.9-second 0-to-60 time on the way to the quarter mile in 14.2 seconds at 97.6 mph. While these times don't beat the more powerful Evo or STi, the R32's smooth and snarling V-6 doesn't tousle the driver with the lag 'n' boost of those turbocharged cars, and the R32's suspension isn't as firm or punishing, either. The new MQ350 six-speed offers hugely improved shift feel over previous manual VW transmissions, which have been vague and rubbery. There's no automatic available in the R32, and only Europeans can option the magic DSG auto-dual-clutch manual found in the Audi TT 3.2 quattro. And whoever is responsible for tuning this car's dual exhaust system deserves a pat on the back.
R-spec blue-powder-coated four-piston brake calipers grab large (13.1-inch front, 10.1-inch rear) vented discs so well that this hatchback stops better from 60 mph than all but the most-expensive supercars--in a mere 108 feet. Smooth-riding and true, independent-rear multilink suspension is another first (versus a GTI's torsion-beam), which complements the car's 22mm-lower sport-tuned suspension and steering. Rounding out the hardware are O*Z Aristo 18-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 summer performance tires, sized 225/40R18 at all four corners.
Put it all together, and the R32's handling is both entertaining and compromised. The chassis is so communicative, predictable, and controllable that the tires are easily overwhelmed. As soon as things start to get fun, the Goodyears give up long before the driver or the chassis do. Just over $30K gets everything on the docket from heated seats to Monsoon audio and moonroof.
Motor Trend
This is another in a long line of cars I can't recall why I sold. I owned it for a short time in 1985. Look at the other three photos to see why it was unusual.
Chrysler offered "Signature Series" packages on each of its 2005 model lines. The Pacifica Signature Series package on the Touring series included power moonroof at no extra cost, two-tone taupe leather seats, AM/FM cassette/CD player with in-dash 6-disc changer, 17" chrome wheels, silver interior trim, fog lamps, power liftgate, cargo group (cargo net, tonneau cover, roof rack), automatic headlamps, memory system for driver's seat, mirrors and pedals and exterior color selections of Linen Gold, Bright Silver, Midnight Blue or Atlantic Blue.
Introduced as a RX330 and MDX rival in early 2003 as a 2004 model, the "sports tourer" Pacifica wagon was not as well received. The Pacifica was based on the Chrysler minivan platform and also built on the Windsor, Ontario assembly line.
2005 models (introduced early in April 2004) added a lower priced entry level series, with the original 2004 base model renamed as Touring (midlevel trim), along with an upmarket Limited. Touring and Limited were available only with 3-row seating and had the 250 HP 3.5 liter V6 from the 300M sports sedan (base FWDs with a 3.8 liter 215 HP V6, AWD with the 3.5).
Available with both 2-row and 3-row seating versions, the 2-row configuration has 92.7 cubic feet interior volume (EPA cargo volume index) with rear seats down - the most in the class, with 79.5 cubic feet in 3-row Touring and Limited models.

Designed by Yukio Kurosu the fourth generation Prelude was introduced in Japan in September 1991, and released worldwide for the 1992 model year. The fourth generation cars also marked an end to the earlier pop-up headlights, the rear was more rounded and fairly high when copared to the earlier square boot line, the front facia became wider with fixed headlights, the earlier cars glass moonroof made way for a steel sliding sunroof. The car had a 58% front and 42% rear weight distribution. The four wheel steering system was changed to an electronic version and the engine was increased in capacity from 2.1 litres to 2.2 litres for the base model "S" at 133bhp and 187bhp for the VTEC and 158bhp for the Si model. The VTEC model had upgraded brakes in some countries, the Prelude with 2.2 VTEC engine was called the VTi-R. Additionally, a 2.0i, single overhead cam (SOHC) model was released in Europe, rated at 133 PS (131bhp)

My second car, a 1986 Mazda 626 GT Turbo "Luxury Touring Sedan" (which was Mazda's way of avoiding the term hatchback) - which I bought used from a Mazda dealer in Bangor, ME. in 1988. This is likely my favorite ever Mazda. EVER. Amazing through and through. This car was fast, a hoot to drive with the trick turbo power and green turbo light, had electronically adjusting struts, an articulating driver's seat, 9 band graphic equalizer, bronze glass, moonroof, and all as standard equipment. I could go on and on about this car. I ended up selling it to pay for college. ARGH!!

Honda offered the Accord Hybrid in the United States in the 2005 through 2007 model years. Produced exclusively in Sayama, Saitama, Japan, the Accord Hybrid was the company's third hybrid model when the 2005 model was introduced in late 2004, following the Insight and Civic Hybrid. The Accord Hybrid was priced US$3,000 higher than the "EX V6" model Accord, and retained substantially the same trim and feature levels (although the 2005 model did not include a power moonroof). Honda positioned the Accord Hybrid at the top of its non-Acura lineup in North America.
While this new vehicle shared the same displacement as the regular Accord V6 powerplant, the engine in the hybrid was derived from the 2005 Honda Odyssey minivan and has the ability to shut off three of the six cylinders under certain conditions for better fuel economy (a technology that Honda calls VCM or Variable Cylinder Management). The new engine features iVTEC technology and drives a new compact five-speed semi-automatic transmission, developed to allow the inclusion of the electric motor sandwiched between the transversely mounted engine. Power of the gas engine is up from 240 to 255 horsepower (179 to 190 kW) and torque rose from 212 to 232 pound-feet (287 to 315 N⋅m). The vehicle reaches 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) in 6.5 seconds. Together with the Integrated Motor Assist electric motor, the hybrid version provided slightly higher performance than the conventional V6-engined Accord. However, the marketplace did not embrace the Accord Hybrid, and the vehicle was discontinued after the 2007 model year.
Fuel economy was originally estimated at 30 mpg‑US (7.8 L/100 km) city and 37 mpg‑US (6.4 L/100 km) highway for the 2005 model year, but was later changed to 28 mpg‑US (8.4 L/100 km) city, 35 mpg‑US (6.7 L/100 km) highway, after Honda's addition of standard moonroof and spare tire during the 2006 model year. This change bumped the car to a higher weight class for United States Environmental Protection Agency mileage testing. The 2006 model has also been rated an AT-PZEV vehicle. AT-PZEV (Advanced Technology-Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle) is an emissions standard created by the California Air Resources Board. 2005 model year Accord Hybrids were rated LEVII-ULEV by the California Air Resources board and Tier2, Bin5 by the EPA.
For 2006, the Accord Hybrid came standard with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), and like the conventional Accord, received a minor exterior facelift. Accord Hybrids from model year 2006 and up can be identified by the amber rear turn signals whereas their fully gasoline counterparts have red rear turn signals.

The demeanor of cats suggests that they consider themselves at least our intellectual equals.
So, it is with personal satisfaction that I post this serious lapse in feline dignity. This is my cat, sitting on the moonroof of my car... thinking that it had the better of me, and waiting until I got out to feed it.
Right.
It's Snapshot Time!
Trust me, it's better that I didn't use the flash.
Oh... new nickname:
"Greasy Crease".
This is my custom piece. I added custom wheels, tinted the windows, and added a moonroof and detailed the headlight lenses.
This car belongs to my friend David. It is the contrast to my own in that it is completely stock and an absolute time capsule. It has bar none the NICEST interior I've ever seen in one of these cars. Flawless dark blue leather and every available option minus the moonroof.

The utilitarian, practical, humble baby Benz sedan on the left, & on the right is the top-of-the-line, R.P.O. "Flagship" Mercedes Benz (fixed-roof-convertible) hardtop coupe with a 5.0 liter, 303 cubic inch, aluminum [block & head] SOHC V8.

The Simca Vedette is a large car, manufactured from 1954-1961 by the French automaker Simca, at their factory in Poissy, France. It was marketed with different model names according to trim and equipment levels. The Vedette was Simca's largest model at that time and it spawned a more economical version, the Simca Ariane.
Simca acquired the Poissy factory from Ford France (Ford Société Anonyme Française, the French subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company), along with the model line, in 1954. The Vedette was therefore initially still marketed as the Ford Vedette.
The Vedette was manufactured in Poissy until 1961 and the Ariane until 1963. After that, production continued in Brazil, where the Vedette finally evolved into the Simca Esplanada,
following Simca's takeover by Chrysler.
In the early 1950s, Henri Théodore Pigozzi was looking to expand the manufacturing operations of his Simca company, which was enjoying much success at the time, thanks to the popular Aronde. At the same time, Ford was seeking to divest itself of its French subsidiary, Ford SAF, which had a factory in Poissy, close to Paris, where it had been manufacturing a large car called the Ford Vedette. The Poissy plant was large and there was capacity for further expansion. The Vedette was a larger car than anything that Simca had on offer at that time. These points attracted Pigozzi, who decided to take over the entire factory, along with the rights to the cars manufactured there.
The acquisition by Pigozzi took place in July 1954, just when Ford was poised to launch its new, modern Vedette,[3] with a four-door saloon body of "American" style, much like the contemporary British Fords or Vauxhalls. The car was powered by an unusually small 2,351 cc sidevalve V8 engine called Aquillon in France, derived from Ford's Flathead engine family, the dimensions of which put the car into the "13 CV" French tax class. Equipped with a two-barrel Zenith-Stromberg 32NX carburetor, it produced 75 to 84 hp (56 to 63 kW). Power was transferred to the rear live axle through a three-speed manual transmission with column shift. The Vedette had independent front suspension (by MacPherson struts) and drum brakes on all four wheels.[1]
As with the Aronde, Simca marketed different trim levels of the Vedette under different model names, this time with references to the grand period of baroque in French history. The basic version was called the Simca Trianon, the mid-level was the Simca Versailles and, at the top of the range, the Simca Régence. An interesting option on all versions was a large glass moonroof that slid into the roof, called Vistadome[1] The Vedette range was still marketed under the Ford brand in some markets, including the Netherlands and Germany, until 1956. As the new model caught on, Simca was able to increase production from the 150 daily achieved during Ford's ownership of the factory to 250 cars a day.
Pigozzi maintained a schedule of year-to-year model revisions, much like American manufacturers. For 1956, an estate version called the Simca Marly joined the line-up and the whole range was revised. A new license plate holder was added to the front bumper and the rear license plate now concealed the fuel tank filler. A peculiar addition was a pedal-operated windscreen washer, while other more ordinary changes included a second odometer, also known as a 'trip meter', for measuring partial distances. The Versailles and Régence were made even more comfortable with the addition of central armrests (Versailles in the rear only, Régence in front and rear), while the Trianon was simplified, losing bumper guards and chrome windscreen decor. In 1957, an option of the Gravina automatic clutch was added, along with better brakes and more direct steering. The Trianon regained the chrome decor around the windscreen, while the other models acquired slimmer tail lights and the front ornament was replaced with a new design. Fender-mounted V8 badges were introduced but, although the whole range featured the same V8 engine, the new badges appeared on the fenders of only the Régence and Marly.
[edit]Production figures
1955 – 42,439
1956 – 44,836
1957 – 17,875
After three years in production, the Vedette was given a new, elongated body, with a more ornate front end and large tailfins, making it even more American-looking than before. This was part of a styling trend shown by most large European cars of that period, which were, to some extent, inspired by American styling, as tailfins appeared on Peugeots, Fiats, BMC models (Pinin Farina-styled), Fords and even Mercedes-Benz cars of that era. The engine was uprated to 84 hp (63 kW) (now called Aquillon 84) but the fiscal qualification of the car remained unchanged.[1]
The three-year-old body of the previous Vedette found a new use, in April 1957. Fitted with the 1.3 L Aronde engine, it became a new model in the Simca range—the Simca Ariane.[3] Later, in October 1957, a V8 version with the Aquillon 84, called the Ariane 8, joined the range, replacing the Trianon. The Versailles was replaced by Simca Beaulieu and the Régence by the Chambord, while the estate retained the Marly name.
1959 brought a new option, the Rush-Matic automatic transmission, which featured two modes: Rush (fully automatic) and Road (manual gear selection). The same year, assembly of the Vedette started at Simca do Brasil. Also during 1959, a new top-of-the-line model joined the Vedette range, the Présidence, featuring a luxurious interior, a radiotelephone (a European first) and a continental kit. French coachbuilder Chapron built two 2-door Présidence convertibles for a governor of one of the French colonies. Chapron had another order the next year, to build two four-door convertibles for the French President Charles de Gaulle. The Beaulieu was dropped in autumn 1960, but the other models remained unchanged until the 1961 model year, when they received new seats, new chrome decor, and the engine was fitted with a new anti-vibration crankshaft.
Production of the Vedette ended in the summer of 1961, by when 173,288 cars had been produced, although the model was continued for longer in Brazil. The Ariane, of which 166,363 were produced, survived until 1963.
Australian production
Following an announcement in July 1959 that it would assemble and market Simca models in Australia, Chrysler Australia produced the Vedette Beaulieu through to 1962, using both fully imported and locally sourced components.

BMW's iconic M3 Coupe received a complete redesign for 2008 and beyond. Based on the new 3-Series Coupe, the new M3 has a revamped interior, exterior, and mechanical underpinnings. The M3 targets the Lexus IS-F, Audi RS5, and Mercedes CLK63 AMG.
The car features a high-revving powerplant like the M3s of previous years, but this time the motor is a V8. It also features tuned suspension, a six-speed manual transmission, a carbon fiber roof, and all the exterior modifications typical of an "M" car.
The M3's V8 powerplant has two more cylinders than its predecessor, delivering 414 horsepower from 4.0 litters and maximum torque of 295 pound-feet at 3,900 rpm. In keeping with BMW's high-revving "M" tradition, maximum engine speed is 8,300 rpm. The engine is the lightest V8 in the world, weighing less than the previous M3's inline-six.
Reminiscent of the carbon fiber roof panel used on the M6 coupe, the M3's CFRP roof cuts unnecessary weight, and lowers the car's center of gravity. It also lets the roof edge appear flatter and thus lowers the perceived body height.
The production M3 is pictured with 18-inch wheels, though BMW is also expected to offer 19-inch alloys similar to the Y-spoke ones featured on the M3 concept.
Pricing
Pricing starts at $58,400. Compared to the previous-generation M3 Coupe, the new two-door is around $8,000 more expensive. Of course, it packs a whole lot more punch, too.
A premium package, priced at $1,900, offers power folding mirrors, universal garage opener, digital compass mirror, BMW Assist, Novillo Leather interior and choice of three optional interior trims.
The technology package includes EDC, M Drive, Comfort Access, and a navigation system -- all for $3250.
19" wheels are $1200, Electronic Damping Control is $1000, and Extended Novillo Leather can be had for $2000 as a standalone option or $1000 with the premium package. Enhanced premium sound is $1900.
Buyers seeking an open-air experience can opt to delete the car's standard carbon fiber roof and replace it with a regular steel top and integrated glass moonroof.

Atlantic"

The 2007 MKX debuted in December 2006 as a rebadged variant of the Ford Edge. In addition to the chrome grille, the MKX's front fascia features projector-beam headlight assemblies with standard chrome-accented fog lights mounted in the lower fascia. The MKX features an optional adaptive headlight system that pivots the aim of the light projectors to match the steering inputs of the driver. In the rear, the MKX features dual chrome exhaust tips and brake lights backlit by LEDs with a light bar that crosses the MKX's liftgate. The optional sunroof, marketed as a Panoramic Vista Roof, is the production version of the glass roof feature shown on the 2004 Aviator Concept. The Vista Roof features a forward power sunroof and a fixed rear moonroof with dual power sunshades.
The interior of the MKX features leather seating surfaces and wood accents in the steering wheel, dash area, and door panels. as well as features thick carpeting, extensive sound-deadening, automatic headlights, dual power heated mirrors with puddle lamps, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power windows with single touch up and down functions with global (all window) operation capability, power locks, remote keyless entry with keypad, theater dimming for the interior lights, cruise control, air conditioning with automatic climate control, 8-way power drive and passenger seats, a message center with compass, and a six speaker, AM/FM stereo radio with a 6-disc CD changer. Interior options include power driver and passenger lumbar supports, heated front seats, heated and cooled front seats (separate option), heated rear seats, an Easy Fold automatic folding second-row seat, a reverse sensing system, a power liftgate, a DVD-based navigation system, Sirius satellite radio, and a THX II-Certified audio system with 14 speakers. MKX's safety features include a tire pressure monitoring system, three-point seat belts, dual front-side airbags, front seat-deployed side airbags, and Safety Canopy curtain airbags.
As a rebadged variant of the Ford Edge, the MKX also shares Ford's CD3 platform, unibody construction, four-wheel independent suspension with a MacPherson strut front suspension with L-shaped lower control arms and a four-link rear suspension with stamped steel control blades and monotube shocks. Both the front and rear suspensions feature an isolated subframe and stabilizer bar. Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are standard in all models with Ford's AdvanceTrac traction control system with Roll Stability Control (RSC) optional. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional.
The MKX comes with standard 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with 18-inch chrome wheels optional. The sole powertrain in the MKX is an all-aluminum, 3.7 L Duratec DOHC V6 mated to Ford's 6F50 6-speed automatic transmission. Like the Edge, which shares the powertrain, the MKX's engine produces 265 hp (198 kW) at 6,250 rpm and 250 lb·ft (340 N·m) of torque at 4,500 rpm; noticeable improvements over what the Aviator Concept's engine was rated at. The MKX, Edge, and Lincoln MKZ were the first recipients of Ford's 3.5 L Duratec V6. Front-wheel drive versions of the MKX come with a 19 US gal (72 L; 16 imp gal) fuel tank while all-wheel drive models come with a 20 US gal (76 L; 17 imp gal) fuel tank. The MKX has a base curb weight of 4,220 lb (1,910 kg) when front-wheel drive only and 4,420 lb (2,000 kg) when equipped with all-wheel drive.
For 2008 the Lincoln MKX featured Lincoln badges are added near the front doors as well as Ford Sync, Limited Edition and Monochromatic Limited Edition packages with unique styling elements and 20-inch chrome wheels, and a voice-activated DVD navigation system. Previously optional features that were now standard included AdvanceTrac with RSC, a reverse sensing system, Sirius satellite radio, the THX II-Certified audio system, heated and cooled front seats, and driver and passenger power lumbar supports. No major changes were made for the 2009 MKX.

1995 Audi A6
Europa Blue Metallic
Leather seats (light tan color)

The base DX model is equipped with LATCH, immobilizer theft-deterrent system, power windows, daytime running lights (DRL), 15" wheels with covers, driver's seat height adjustment, and other features (All Canadian sold Civics have the 160 watt stereo system) as well as the DX-G model in Canada adds air conditioning, auxiliary input jack for portable audio players, power door locks, remote keyless entry and storage console armrest.
The LX model adds a 160 watt 6-speaker stereo system, air conditioning, 16" wheels with covers (Alloy wheels in Canadian LX models), cruise control, MP3/audio jack, passenger side walk in with memory (coupe only), floor mats, security system with remote entry and Canadian sold models (except for DX) include heated exterior mirrors.
The EX model adds a moonroof, 4-wheel disc brakes, 16" alloy wheels, an additional 12-volt accessory outlet (for a total of two), a 350 watt stereo system with seven speakers (coupe only, the sedan EX comes with a 160 watt stereo system), exterior temperature indicator, a foldable rear arm rest with integrated cupholders (sedan only), and an optional voice-activated navigation system.
All coupes come standard with a rear lip-spoiler and EX models (only) have round chrome finish on the exhaust pipe. Coupes are intended to be sportier than their sedan counterparts and cost US$200 less in the US and CDN$200 more in Canada at base MSRP. It should be noted that the EX model of both the coupe and sedan have slightly less interior space (because of the moon-roof, which takes up head-room) than their DX and LX counterparts. MSRP is US$14,810 (18.881) for the DX manual coupe to approximately $21K for the Si models.
The Honda Civic GX is an LX that has been manufactured to run on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas). Due to the limitations of the CNG tanks, the 6-speaker stereo system is not installed.
Only a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is offered for the 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid, which gains more power and a mileage boost to an EPA estimated 49/51 mpg (city/highway). It achieves an AT-PZEV emission rating.
