I personally am drawn to pictures of storms. I love the stormy atmosphere and the dark sweeping clouds. I find the intense shadows and darkness to be intriguing and beautiful. It evokes a sense of awe at the power that Nature holds. I was thinking today how sometimes In my personal life I have allowed myself to feel negative emotions about situations because they were BIG & SCARY. In reality these changes while scary are as beautiful as the oncoming storm below. Big things full of promise and hope for rain. And yes I feel small, tiny and helpless. I don't like being out of control... But embracing the changes as something beautiful and special changes everything.

I was searching for the right picture to illustrate my thoughts when I came across this one of my 5 year old son at #ElevenMileStatePark. It is perfect! I remember this trip clearly, it was soooooo windy and stormy during our camping trip here. My son begged me numerous times to walk down to the water even though at that point in time the wind was biting cold. It literally made it difficult to walk forward. He LOVED it. We were holding hands and I was lamenting in my mind what a disappointment this trip had been and Efraim exclaimed, "Isn't this amazing Mama?" I was flabbergasted, absolutely surprised. His hair was blowing in the wind and his face was pure joy.

Thats what I want to exhibit through changes.

- Embrace the changes for the good they bring.

- Be amazed at the ride that we're taking.

- Admire all the scenery along the way in whatever weather we're in.

Have a glorious Friday my dear friends. All of my love always ~ Rachel

Here is a shot that was taken quite a while ago down at Derwentwater on a moody morning.

a woman walks through the slow geometry of light and shadow, the tiled wall casting echoes behind her like memory. in a lisbon alley brushed with silence and time, each element — from cracked sidewalk to painted tile — plays its quiet part in the rhythm of the everyday.

Here is another shot that was taken down at Buttermere from Saturday morning. The conditions were changing every 10 minutes from decent light to mood like this image.

CORONA SUMMER

This summer was really tough. We are not sure of what coming next and taking too much precaution. I was never like that before. I'm a spontaneous person who always lives a simple life far away from light. It was hard for me on several sides.

This series represents my state of mind during this awkward period. I'm not here to show the beauty of our country because we know very well it's beautiful as much as any country in the world. I’m not going to discuss any subject on these pictures. This series will be different from all my precedent works.

"Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful, but because they are fleeting." – Richard Paul Evans

For many people, they are so scared of cockroaches, clowns, ghosts, height, and more. For me, I am scared of being alone.

Being someone that nobody cares or loved is probably the worst thing one can get. So what is your biggest fear?

Here is a shot that was taken from a walk up to Great Gable. The light that morning was absolutely amazing as the clouds were perfect. Little bit of a different type of post I would put on here as I wouldn't usually post many panoramas.

"My external sensations are no less private to myself than are my thoughts or my feelings. In either case my experience falls within my own circle, a circle closed on the outside; and, with all its elements alike, every sphere is opaque to the others which surround it. . . . In brief, regarded as an existence which appears in a soul, the whole world for each is peculiar and private to that soul."”

Here is a shot that was taken when I went for a walk up Great Gable.

A street performer takes a break on the grass, adjusting his look in a small mirror—a brief pause before stepping back into the act.

When the pressure to know and improve never rests, even the purest intentions can twist into something unsettling.

A glowing doorway in the dark.

Looked more like a portal, the kind you once imagined as a child.

A hidden passage to wonder, or to something… else?

portals now doesn't lead to Narnia anymore.

they opened into fluorescent aisles, plastic packaging, and endless comsumtion.

Welcome to Capitalism weary traveller.

Photographed in Espoo, Finland with the Canon 1D X Mark II and 24-105mm f/4L IS II.

Two photos, one scene: a door that still glows like a promise, even when what’s inside isn’t quite magic.

Here is a shot that was taken yesterday over at Newcastle.

She rests in an organic bath, untouched by the chaos of modern life. A playful take on society’s pursuit of health, relaxation, and nature in an often artificial world.

Rainy mood in Providence.

Here is as shot that was taken on my walk up Great Gable. The light was like this all day and couldn't ask for any better conditions and light.
