"Look, I took the liberty of examining that parrot when I got it home, and I discovered the only reason that it had been sitting on its perch in the first place was that it had been NAILED there." (Monty Pythons Flying Circus, Dead Parrot Sketch)

Replace parrot with cat and you can refrain with Mr. Praline "I see, I see, I get the picture".

I walked through the national gardening show "BUGA07" and came to the part which celebrates the beautty of a small mountain range called Hainich, which is situated close to the former border between East and West-Germany and is intact because noone was able to live there for many years. It's also home for a small species of wild cats. To show them they had mock-frogs, eh -cats. I laughed hard when I noticed immediately the Monty Python connection and a few visitors were sure, that they had spot the looney !!

This is a small section of the Comedy Carpet on the promenade in front of Blackpool Tower.

We went to see the Comedy Carpet because found ourselves on the front at Blackpool with some time to kill, since the firework championships had been cancelled due to high winds and it was still a few minutes before the illuminations were switched on.

Despite the wind and rain there were quite a few people wandering about, laughing out loud as they read the various sketches and jokes.

Hulk Smash.

I was a little bored so played around with a couple of ideas I'd had.

This is very much Monty Python inspired.

It's probably been done a hundred times already but I couldn't resist.

The Palace Theatre is showing Monty Python's Spamalot. To promote it, there's a bunch of people wandering around as the Knights Who Say Ni! and this chap.

I got this hankie as a gift from a teacher three years ago, I guess, when she was transferred. I didn't really take much notice of it, as I'm not much of a hankie user..

.

Found it again recently, and was struck (1) by how really nice it is and (2) how Pythonesque it is.

Here's the front.

(BRIAN wakes up with a smile on his face to find himself being dragged along a

cell corridor by TWO GUARDS. The horrible figure of the JAILER spits at him

and flings him into a dark damp cell, slamming the iron grate behind him and

turning the key hollowly in the lock. BRIAN slumps to the floor. A voice

comes out of the darkness behind him.)

BEN: You LUCKY bastard!

BRIAN: (spins around and peers into the gloom): Who's that?

(In the darkness BRIAN just makes out an emaciated figure, suspended on the

wall, with his feet off the ground, by chains round his wrists. This is BEN.)

I was so happy Dusty decided to do this song. There was a long wait to sing, and after awhile the DJ called Dusty over to the booth. I was really worried that they didn't have the song and wanted him to pick something else, but when Dusty came back he said, "They won't let me sing this song until midnight. It's too raunchy!" YES!!!

Photographers!

This is what I think of photographers!

I wave my private parts at your aunties, you cheesy lot of second hand electric donkey-bottom biters!

As usual, I was Cardinal Fang for the company Halloween party. The SJ Sharks mascott came to the party, which was kind of cool.

The burning witches temperament really gives it an earthy edge. Very nice.
