oh don't I look so stylish with my pups and car ....

Shot at Sunny's using Tropix Anignon Street

Somewhere my love there will be songs to sing

Although the snow covers the hope of Spring

Somewhere a hill blossoms in green and gold

And there are dreams, all that your heart can hold

Someday we'll meet again, my love

Someday whenever the Spring breaks through

You'll come to me, out of the long-ago

Warm as the wind, soft as the kiss of snow

Lara, my own, think of me now and then

Godspeed, my love, till you are mine again

Warm as the wind, soft as the kiss of snow

Godspeed, my love, till you are mine again

So people say,

Each virtue virtually knows no bound,

Each trait is great and patiently sound,

I'm practically perfect from head to toe,

If I had a fault it would never dare to show,

I'm so practically perfect in every way,

Both prim and proper and never to stern,

Well educated yet willing to learn,

I'm clean and honest my manner refined,

And I wear shoes of the sensible kind,

I suffer no nonsense and whilst I remain,

There's nothing else I feel I need explain,

I'm practically perfect in every way,

Practically perfect that's my forte,

Uncanny nannies are hard to find,

Unique yet meek unspeakably kind,

I'm practically perfect not slightly soiled,

Running like an engine, thats just been freshly oiled,

I'm so practically perfect in every way,

Well those are my crudentials,

Perhaps you have a few questions?

A princess must say this.

A princess must marry a total stranger, its absurd!

(Sung) Suitors talk of love, but it’s an act

Merely meant to throw me

How can someone love me when, in fact

They don’t know me’

They want my royal treasure,

When all is said and done.

It’s time for a desperate measure

So I wonder

Why shouldn’t I fly so far from here?

I know the girl I might become here

Sad and confined

And always locked behind these palace walls

Taken during my second 'One Hour, One Camera, One Lens' challenge this week.

I spotted this guy in the window just as I was starting my shoot and as soon as I got it all framed up he stood up and walked away......however on the way back to my car, near the end of my night out, he was back in position so I quickly grabbed my shot.

BDCC Monthly challenge: British summertime

5:40 PM Cromer pier in the middle of July should be buzzing with life, People eating fish and chips, children running around and the general hubbub that is usually found on the pier in summer. Have I cloned them out? No, it was bitterly cold and blowing a hoolie (it had rained all day) not a soul to be found here...except yours truly who just had to get a photo.

Take Two - Monthly challenge: blue and yellow

April 2024 - A month in 30 pictures

Well, that's another April done and dusted. The years certainly go by quickly.

If you don't fancy waiting a whole year for another challenge, why not join in the October challenge...it would be good to see you there.

When you walk through a storm

Hold your head up high

And don't be afraid of the dark

At the end of the storm

Is a golden sky

and the sweet song of a lark

Walk on through the wind,

Walk on through the rain,

Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.

Walk on, walk on

With hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone,

You'll never walk alone.

"HAVE A GO AT OUR OPEN MONTHLY CHALLENGE"

The subjects for this month and details on how to take part can be found here.

Anyone, anywhere with any camera can take part.

I can see me

I can see me

Livin' just like Clara

Sippin' champagne, can't you see me

In the middle of a dance floor.

That could be me

That could be me

Doing things like Clara

Flirtin' madly, lookin' dreamy

These are things you take a chance for

It must be great to be called the "it" girl,

Your face on every magazine.

That's where I'm gonna end up one day, trust me.

Debut on Broadway in 2011 ~ based on the story of ill-fated lovers and outlaws ~ sadly the production closed after only 30 days.

Once upon a time, I would wake beside a man,

Who would make me feel like nothing could take him from me

Once I thought forever was real,

I thought my life was ideal,

I though that nothing could steal it, you see

Once I learned how wrong I had been,

That sometimes dreams can cave in and what then?

Once I learned the hard way,

Faith in ever after was done,

And I gave up ever wondering when,

Love will come and find me again

Debut on Broadway on April 2017

Don't you understand

That I've been true to you, but I'm in demand,

Because gentlemen prefer blondes like me?

They buy me champagne

Because they say

that they admire my brain.

Because gentlemen prefer blondes like me.

They'd take me out dancing,

Cross my heart, I wasn't in the mood.

But after all, when they'd call,

I just couldn't be rude.

Debut on Broadway in 1949 with Carol Channing as lead ~ the movie version in 1953 starred Marilyn Monroe singing her famous song "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend.

BDCC ~ Fun Guy ~ It's the season for fungi...or find a clown

Since my days of crawling along a forest floor are over and I didn't think my husband would dress as a clown, I bought this little toadstool for my photo...no expense spared for my challenges! Looking at it now I think I should have placed the mouse somewhere else but he was happy there and it's late.

After my last outing with my newly acquired Sony 35mm lens for the A6000, I couldn't resist taking it with me for a quick trip to Nienburg. I did take a 35mm film camera with me to carry on my 365 day project, but the light soon faded and the really old analog camera would never have worked, so to save the film I got my A6000 out.

I spotted this mirror in the street and instead of waiting for someone to pass by I decided it was time for a long over due selfie.....so "Hi everyone!" :0)

After watching a video on YouTube, basically a 'One Camera, One Lens, One Hour' type of challenge and being totally inspired, I grabbed my camera and headed off to my local 'Ghost Town' to see what I could get.

I'm not really one for night time photography but after also being inspired by some of the photographers I follow here on Flickr, I had to give it a go....and I wasn't disappointed.

Being a 'noobie' at night time shooting I shot all my images on f/1.8 and ISO settings ranging between 3200 & 6400 on my Sony A6000 with my recently purchased Sony 35mm.

Lots of noise in the images but maybe I'm too used to daytime shooting and this amount of noise is normal for night photos.

I was amazed at how many keepers I got in just one hour in a town I hardly ever visit for street photography. I'll definitely been doing the one hour challenge again very soon.

Photographed a school play for a local Junior High production of “Newsies”. Used my longest fastest lens so I could shoot in the low light. I could have dropped my iso and shutter speed for this shot, but feel the noise it added just works for this photo.
